Hey there, I'm Chris from Curated. I'm a snowboard gear expert here at curated.com with over five years working in the industry and 100 days on the mountain this season alone. Today, I'm going to be comparing two snowboards: the Arbor Foundation Rocker and the Yes. Basic. We'll be talking about the similarities, differences, and which one is the best for you. First, we're going to talk about each board individually and then we'll compare them.

Arbor Foundation Rocker Snowboard

So, let's talk about the Arbor Foundation Rocker. This board is a 4 out of 10 on the flex charts and has a rocker profile. If you don't know what a rocker is, definitely Google that. We have videos on our website and plenty of articles about that. Essentially, a rocker is going to lift the nose and the tail, helping to facilitate and promote a catch-free ride. Thanks to this medium-soft flex, the 4 out of 10, and the rocker, this is going to be a good board overall for entry-level riders. Someone that's looking to develop turns, learn how to carve, and overall just become a snowboarder. This is going to be one of those great boards that's going to be the stepping stone before you become an expert rider.

Yes. Basic Snowboard

Now, let's compare it to the Yes. Basic. There are a few things that make this board different than the Arbor Foundation Rocker. It's got a slightly stiffer profile and it's also going to be just a little bit different thanks to its profile. So, what is the profile? The profile is the base profile here. Like I said, the Arbor Foundation Rocker has a rocker profile, while the Yes. Basic has a hybrid profile. This generally adds stability, control, and edge hold. While the flex patterns differ between this board and the Foundation, their intended use is essentially the same. They're both made for entry-level riders looking for a versatile ride that can handle any type of condition.

Similarities and Differences

Overall, the biggest difference is the camber profile of these two snowboards, with the Foundation Rocker featuring a rocker profile, which adds a little more forgiving and playful feel to the snowboard, as well as it's 4 out of 10 versus 5 out of 10 on the flex chart for the Yes. Basic. The Yes. Basic's hybrid camber profile changes it up a little bit. Although they're very similar, it tends to have a slightly stiffer flex. This makes it a slightly more responsive snowboard, although not as forgiving.
