The Curated Take
4.0/5
The Wilson 2022 Triad R Golf Balls are ideal for players seeking both distance and control, excelling in consistent ball flight, distance, and superior feel, especially around the greens and off the putter face. While they perform impressively for their price range, the alignment aid, marked by the ball's name with a black outline, is average. Yet, their ability to provide sufficient spin without going overboard ensures that shots remain inbounds, and their resilience on bunker and wedge shots adds to their appeal.

- Offers plenty of distance

Expert Reviews of the Wilson Triad R Golf Balls
Jonathan Belanger The Wilson Triad R Golf Ball can do anything I ask, such as going for a tight pin on an approach shot, hitting a chip that checks up, and wanting to hit the long ball off the tee for the longest drive. Other balls carry more and spin more, but there isn’t one that does both. However, this golf ball performs better than others in the same price range. I am impressed with the performance, and although the alignment aid leaves something to be desired, I can fix that with a quick Sharpie line.

Review Ratings
Durability
4/5
Jonathan Belanger gave 4 of 5 stars. This golf ball is durable. It stands up to bunker shots and full wedge shots but shows signs of wear with small scuffs and scratches. I only had a few balls stay with me long enough to reach that point, but the imperfections do not affect performance.
Alignment
3/5
Jonathan Belanger gave 3 of 5 stars. The alignment aid is hard to see because it is just the ball's name with a black outline.
Greenside Spin
4/5
Jonathan Belanger gave 4 of 5 stars. Unless I attempt trick shots that involve crazy flop shots or chips to rip back to my feet, this ball provides plenty of spin around the green. I feel confident about hitting any shot around the green to get close to the flag and am often very happy with the results.
Spin
4/5
Jonathan Belanger gave 4 of 5 stars. If I fade or slice the ball, my shots have less side spin and likely stay inbounds. When I play a draw, I don't find the ball knuckling or diving out of the air, which gives me the confidence to hit forced carry shots and land on the other side comfortably.
Feel
5/5
Jonathan Belanger gave 5 of 5 stars. I enjoy using this golf ball around the greens and for putting. The soft feel leaves a positive impression and doesn't give the sensation of hitting a rock. With irons and off the tee, the ball provides feedback without providing pain, and I can attempt any shot without fearing the sensation left in my hands after.
FAQs
What was your favorite moment with this gear?
Jonathan Belanger My favorite moment with this ball was hitting a drive on a short par 4 and having the ball finish next to the green. The people on the putting green were a little surprised, as was I, when the ball got close to their cart.
Why did you choose this product?
Jonathan Belanger I wanted to try a high-quality ball that was less inexpensive than the tour player balls big brands offer.
