The Best Snowboard Designs of 2024: Are these the Coolest Snowboard Graphics of All Time?

Snowboard graphics — they’re undoubtedly the first thing anyone notices when looking at snowboards. While you shouldn’t prioritize a board’s graphics over more important features like a board’s intended use and ability level, there is something to be said about having a board that you like the looks of. After all, look good, feel good, ride good, right? So without further ado, our top picks for some of the coolest snowboard graphics of all time — or at least for 2024!
Best Men’s Snowboard Graphics
Lib Tech T. Rice Pro
This is the signature board of legendary professional snowboarder Travis Rice! It’s an all-mountain/freestyle-focused snowboard for advanced to expert riders and features Lib Tech’s signature camber-rocker-camber profile. It also has a true twin shape, so riders can shred this board both regular and switch with ease, and a stiff flex that allows it to stand up to even the most aggressive riding. Top it all off with a trippy, space-age topsheet and base graphic, and you’ve got a board that looks just as good as it rides!
Jones Frontier
Jones has always been known for producing eye-catching graphics that are based on nature; mountains in particular. This year’s version of the frontier has a more mature look than previous generations and is pretty much a perfect representation of the brand’s image — a simple but very elegant mountainous design on the top sheet and a clean and even simpler graphic on the base of the board. The Frontier is an all-mountain board that specializes in off-piste riding (trees, bumps, chunder, and fresh snow). It’s an accessible board for the intermediate rider, but advanced riders will still enjoy it because of its versatile medium flex and rocker/camber/rocker profile. For anyone looking for a simple, clean, and elegant board that can handle all conditions and thrive in the powder, this is a great option!
Burton Deep Thinker
This board’s graphic shares a close resemblance to the Burton Free Thinker, a sister board from the same brand that also has a graphic that pops! This board is certainly an eye-catcher with its entirely red topsheet and base, and the longer you look, the better it gets! From the tiny mountain that progressively evolves into the Burton logo on the topsheet to the intricate patterns on the base of the board, the graphic designer who did this one deserves a raise.
Did we mention this board also shreds? Like the Jones Frontier, this is another one of those boards that can ride the whole mountain but excel off-piste. This board features a stiff flex, though, meaning expert riders can take it on the steepest and gnarliest terrain without fear of it letting them down, making it a good choice for the snowboarder who likes a bold look as well as a bold ride!
CAPiTA Ultrafear Reverse Camber
It’s no secret that CAPiTA has been killing it with the artwork on their boards for years. Just look at the CAPiTA D.O.A. It’s one of the best-selling boards of all time, and part of the reason for that should be attributed to the fact that it just looks so darn good! Well, this year’s CAPiTA Ultrafear Reverse Camber, with its eye-catching board graphic, is no exception.
It’s a bit odd and maybe even childlike with its skulls, lightning bolts, and bright orange splots that look like they were spray-painted on. But that’s the charm of this board — it appeals to the 14 year old inside of us all and is just asking to be ridden with gusto and glee. It’s a board that’s designed to be ridden in the park and get creative with. It features a forgiving rocker/flat profile and medium flex as well as a twin shape, making it versatile and accessible for all skill levels!
CAPiTA Spring Break Powder Twin
Another banger from CAPiTA but this time from their Spring Break subsidiary company! There’s really not much to say about this on its own except that it’s loud, proud, and will certainly stand out on a ski rack. Aside from the graphic, it’s a unique board that’s actually designed to excel in powder despite being a true twin shape (usually these two things don’t go together). In addition to that true twin shape, it’s got a medium flex and runs a much wider-than-average width. It’s a go-to option for someone who needs a wider board, such as my riders with bigger boot sizes or my bigger dudes, as it features a much higher weight capacity than many other snowboards.
Best Women’s Snowboard Graphics
Before we jump into these top five women’s snowboard graphics, you might be wondering, what makes a snowboard a “women's” board versus a “men’s” board? Great question! It mainly comes down to sizing. Since women are typically smaller than men, women’s boards are built to accommodate smaller riders who weigh less. While women don’t strictly have to ride women’s boards and men don’t strictly have to ride men’s boards, it’s important that the board you ride has a weight range that suits your weight; otherwise, the board won’t perform as intended. With that out of the way, on to these women’s boards!
GNU Ladies Choice
Do you like symmetry? Do you like nature? Do you like an intricate collage of images? If you answered yes to these three questions, you might just fall in love with the GNU Ladies Choice. The top sheet is filled to the brim with tons of different animal designs that are arranged in such a way that the board’s graphic appears symmetrical, even though it actually isn’t upon closer inspection.
Apart from a complex, nature-y topsheet graphic, this board also boasts impressive specs as an all-mountain/freestyle shred stick for the intermediate lady shredder, along with some unique tech from GNU, such as an asymmetrical shape and Magne-Traction edges for better grip on ice.
Lib Tech Glider
The Lib Tech Glider is a unique board on this list because it features essentially the same graphics on both sides of the board. The base graphic is simply a larger version of the topsheet graphic, as if someone zoomed in on the water and mountains! In addition to being a great board for those who love water and mountains (Who doesn’t love at least one of those things?), this is also one of the few boards on this list that is appropriate for beginners. To be more precise, this is a beginner/intermediate board that’s built around a soft flex so it’s super forgiving for getting those first turns down and falling in love with snowboarding. Like the Lib Tech T.Rice we saw earlier on the list, it’s also got Lib Tech’s signature camber/rocker/camber profile and a true twin shape for maximum versatility after you master the bunny hill.
Bataleon Distortia
Although it’s a different brand, I would argue that this board is the women’s equivalent of the Capita Ultrafear we saw earlier in the article. It’s just got that same chaotic energy. This board features a collage of images that looks like something an edgy 16 year old would make in Photoshop — and we’re loving it! From the dolphin to the children in black and white to the neon yellow border, this board features no rhyme or reason and that’s why it’s so good. Now, if only we could hear the creative process it took to design such a masterpiece!
Epic graphics aside, this board keeps it pretty simple on the tech specs side of things — it’s a freestyle machine with a full camber profile, true twin shape, and a medium flex. This is a simple tried-and-true formula that we’ve seen in many popular snowboards, which makes us think the board must be as fun to ride as it is to look at!
Salomon Rumble Fish
If you’re into abstract art, you know shape patterns and colors — the Salomon Abstract might just be your new best friend. You don’t need a degree in modern art to appreciate the simplicity of this board’s topsheet, which features a very similar design to its 2023 predecessor but takes on an entirely new life via a color palette change (see photos above for comparison). In addition to a topsheet and base graphic that will never go out of style, this board features an aggressive feel with a very stiff flex and rocker/camber/rocker profile for the aggressive lady shredders out there. What’s not to love about it?
Burton Story Board
For those unfamiliar with the term “storyboard,” it is a tool used by those in the film industry to create a visual representation of how a scene will unfold, shot by shot. We’re not really sure what sort of movie Burton might be depicting with this storyboard, but that doesn’t make it any less cool! It’s a simple yet beautiful graphic, it’s not a “love it or hate it” look, and it’s one that can be appreciated by a wide variety of people. Additionally, it’s a board that can shred steep terrain and deep powder with its stiff flex, rocker/camber profile, and directional shape, making it perfect for the adventurous female rider who has ambitions to take on any and all terrain their local mountain has to offer.
Unisex Snowboard Honorable Mentions
While we can’t dedicate a full-length section to these boards for fear of this article dragging on forever, we wanted to shout out a couple of honorable mentions for these unisex boards — ones that come in a variety of sizes and can be ridden by anyone!
- Arbor Westmark Camber Frank April Edition: The name might be a mouthful, but the graphic is gorgeous!
- Yes. Greats UnInc.: Pigs, zebra stripes, and an asymmetrical shape. Need we say more?
- Salomon Abstract: The name says it all! Props to the illustrator for the creativity on this one!
