The Curated Take
2.7/5
The Line Sir Francis Bacon Skis are ideal for skiers who crave playfulness and versatility on the mountain. With a flexible build and 5-Cut geometry, these skis make quick, snappy turns and are great for buttering and jibbing. They perform exceptionally well in soft snow, offering a surfing-like experience without sinking. However, they are not suited for high-speed skiing or icy conditions. While the topsheet may not be the most durable, the base, edges, and core make up for it. Overall, these skis are an excellent choice for those seeking a playful, all-mountain experience.

Review Ratings
Durability
2/5
Heath Kelso gave 2 of 5 stars. The topsheet is weak and can peel, scratch, and get beat up pretty easily. Though this is a drawback in the ski, the quality of the base, edges, and core make up for it. The skis can take some pretty hard beatings.
High Speed Stability
1/5
Heath Kelso gave 1 of 5 stars. When I take this ski fast and try to charge, it shakes. It does not handle high speeds well due to how flexible the ski is. If someone decides to ski this ski fast, they will notice how it wobbles and may feel like it's trying to buck them around.
Carving
3/5
Heath Kelso gave 3 of 5 stars. This ski is given a wide variety of turns with its 5-Cut sidecut geometry, which makes it fun when I decide to put it on edge. However, it could be better at high speeds, so this ski likes it less when I carve when going faster.
Playfulness
3/5
Heath Kelso gave 3 of 5 stars. When riding this ski, one will want to play, wanting to butter and jib all over the place. In addition to being very flexible on those days when there's some powder, the ski will make someone feel like they are surfing through it.
Turn Ease
3/5
Heath Kelso gave 3 of 5 stars. The 5-Cut sidecut geometry allows this ski to make a wide variety of turns, whether I want to ride it on edge for a long time or make some quick, snappy, short turns. When I turn, it responds to every little movement I make.
Versatility
4/5
Heath Kelso gave 4 of 5 stars. It is very playful and light, so I can take it for a hike in the sidecountry, jib around on the groomers, take it into the park, hit some jumps, and even drop some cliffs with it. Whatever I decide to do, this ski is ready.
FAQs
Why did you choose this product?
Heath Kelso I chose this ski for the float and the amount of play it has. When I was looking at skis, I knew I wanted something that could surf in powder and still be flexy and playful for when I decide to jib and butter around the mountain. After skiing for a good chunk of the season, the Line Sir Francis Bacon Skis accomplishes this well. This ski makes it easy when I want to land switch in powder. It butters easily, whether off of a knuckle or in some powder. The Line Sir Francis Bacon Ski is the playful ski I have dreamed of riding.
What do you love about this product?
Heath Kelso My favorite thing about this product is how playful it is. When riding this ski, I feel like there is no such thing as a slow or boring day. No matter where I am on the mountain, I can play. Whether jibbing down the groomers or taking it to the park to throw some tricks, this ski makes any day more fun.
What was your favorite moment with this gear?
Heath Kelso My favorite moment on this ski was when I rode at Bridger Bowl when we had just got 8" of powder. I found myself getting off the first chair of the day and was already playing on this ski, just riding along the surface of the powder and playing around on the ski.
