What does Decathlon claim about this board? [Everett] Decathlon has this as their beginner-friendly, get-into-snowboarding-and-learn-what-the-fun-is-all-about kind of board. It is an ideal all-around flat between the feet with an early-rise rocker in the nose and tail. You’ll have a super-forgiving board that can still get you where you’re going at a ridiculously great, affordable price point.

Overall Impressions

What is your overall impression of this board? [Everett] This was a very easily maneuverable board. You can slide around wherever you’re going, figure out where your edges are, and get over the nose and tail without feeling like you’re slipping out. This is a very, very forgiving board. This is a board for getting that beginner down without breaking the bank. As an East Coast rider riding this out in New York, I was not able to get the best conditions. It doesn’t mean this thing is lacking by any means. This board can handle what you throw at it as you try to get the basics down, but I wouldn’t push it further.

Carving

How does it turn? [Everett] This twin-style board will be an all-mountain design board that you'll be able to ride directional a little bit.

What is the edge hold like? [Everett] It’s not the best at holding an edge once you start moving off the bunny slopes and starting to go on a little more technical terrain.

How does it perform at speed? [Everett] That flat profile is going to make it super forgiving. The early-rise rocker in the nose and tail makes it so it can just handle any bump you're throwing without getting too much speed.

Freestyle

Is it good for riding switch? [Everett] It's good at switch. It's great forward. You know you can ride it goofy, regular, whatever.

Freeride

What terrain is this board good for? [Everett] This thing is definitely meant for more of learning your turns, getting your stopping down, and then start exploring the mountain.

Who would you recommend this board to? [Everett] If you want a good board to join your friends and learn what snowboarding is all about, this is where this board steps up its game.
