The Curated Take
4.8/5
The Odyssey White Hot OG 2-Ball Stroke lab putter offers a unique balance of feel, forgiveness, and accuracy. Its standout feature is its White Hot insert, which gives a super-soft feel with a unique response. This enhances ball speed control, essential for putting. The two-ball design aids in alignment and in visualizing the ball's path. While the putter is highly forgiving, it isn’t excessively bulky. The gray DFX grip adds to the comfortable and controlled feel. Overall, this putter provides premium features like excellent balance, alignment, and feel at a lower cost compared to other high-end putters.

Expert Reviews of the Odyssey White Hot OG 2-Ball Stroke Lab Putter
Ignacio Isern Everyone from low-handicap golfers to higher-handicap players can benefit from this putter's excellent balance of feel, forgiveness, and accuracy. However, my favorite thing about it by far is the White Hot insert. The insert is the reason why people love it, and Odyssey keeps bringing it back on the market. Twenty years ago, the first White Hot insert was designed when the putter team collaborated with the ball design team. The urethane material that was used for the Rule 35 urethane-covered ball was used in the White Hot insert recipe. The result was a super-soft and unique feel when hitting the golf ball. Another huge advantage of this insert is that when the ball is hit softly, it remains firm. When it is hit firmly, it softens. This results in the ball speed being what is expected to be according to how hard it is hit. Putting is largely a "feel" part of the game, and these putters are some of the best feeling putters out there.

Alignment
5/5
Ignacio Isern gave 5 of 5 stars. The two-ball design has been one of the most creative and innovative designs for alignment since Odyssey came out with it about 20 years ago. It helps to visualize the ball rolling in a line that is the same width as the ball — a much better image than a thin line that doesn't represent the golf ball, in my view.
Grip
5/5
Ignacio Isern gave 5 of 5 stars. I love the gray DFX grip because it's a pretty classic grip that allows me to feel the impact with the ball. It's neither too thin nor too thick, and the material is neither too hard nor too soft. It's fairly sticky, so it doesn't feel like I have to grip it too tight. The focus of the grip is to be able to feel the contact with the ball and the White Hot insert.
Forgiveness
4/5
Ignacio Isern gave 4 of 5 stars. There are many putters in the market now that have so much mass behind the toe and the heel and all around in general that they look pretty ridiculous. The purpose of this is forgiveness on off-center hits. That's why those types of putters are technically more forgiving.
Feel
5/5
Ignacio Isern gave 5 of 5 stars. I absolutely love the feel of the White Hot insert. It's like a drug. I just want to keep hitting putts. It's no surprise that Odyssey brought back the White Hot insert. It feels soft, and it feels like the ball is controlled somehow when struck, as though there is a certain amount of friction between the material of the ball and the insert that grips the ball.
Balance
5/5
Ignacio Isern gave 5 of 5 stars. The weight on this putter is very nicely distributed. The head can be felt clearly, but it's not super heavy and isn't a problem on longer putts. The grip has a certain amount of weight that keeps the head from feeling too heavy, also.
FAQs
What do you love about this product?
Ignacio Isern This is one of the best putter designs ever. The two-ball design is super original and helps to visualize the ball rolling on the correct line. The urethane insert has a nice feel and rolls the ball really well.
What was your favorite moment with this gear?
Ignacio Isern My favorite moment with this putter was draining a 30 footer for eagle to beat my friend. I was clear on the line, and I just loved how I was able to roll it on the right line from the start with this putter.
Why did you choose this product?
Ignacio Isern I chose this putter mostly because of its feel. It feels soft but not too soft. The insert is made so that it feels a bit firmer on short putts and softer on long putts. This feel really helps me to judge the putts correctly.
What is the value for the money versus other options?
Ignacio Isern When I think of putters with great feel I think of a Scotty Camerons and a few others of this caliber which are very expensive. With the Odyssey White Hot OG 2-Ball Stroke Lab Putter you get the same level of feel at a much lower price.
