The Curated Take
5.0/5
The Odyssey White Hot OG #7 CH putter is a top choice for many golfers because of its outstanding balance, alignment aids, and forgiveness. Its White Hot insert is known for its soft yet responsive feel, and the fang design significantly aids its forgiveness. While it's excellent for straight strokes, it may not be best for golfers with an arc stroke. The comfortable Odyssey Pistol grip enhances the feel. Overall, this putter is a great value, offering high-end features without the premium price tag. It’s a smart choice for players who prioritize feel, alignment, and forgiveness in their putting game.

Expert Reviews of the Odyssey White Hot OG #7 CH Putter
Ignacio Isern I believe that this is one of the best all-around putters ever, and therefore it is a good one for a wide range of players. It's not too big but gives enough confidence for mishits. It shows alignment well when looking down on it, and it does this better than any other putter I've seen on the market, which is one of the reasons why I think this model is so popular. It is also one of the best in terms of feel, in my view. The White Hot insert with the urethane material offers the best touch I've experienced in a putter. It's a very soft feel, and I really like that. On short putts, it feels firmer, and on long putts, it feels softer, and that combination amounts to improved distance control. In terms of forgiveness, the design is made so that extra mass is added to the toe and heel, which is awesome on off-center hits. For all these reasons, this putter is one of my favorites ever. It really does have it all, in my view.
Nick Warren I’ve used this putter for over two years. Personally, I tinker quite a bit and like to use various inserts/brands throughout the season. This is the first mallet putter I’ve found to really suit my eye with the CH Crank hosel. Compared to a traditional single or double-bend shaft, this is much closer to a blade when addressing the ball. It has the benefits of both a blade feel and mallet stability, along with multiple grip options. The insert is a classic. The overall quality is top-notch, with one ding or dent after 25 rounds. I would recommend this putter to players of all skill levels.

Alignment
5/5
Ignacio Isern gave 5 of 5 stars. The design of the head on this putter not only makes it forgiving on strikes of the toe and heel by adding mass behind the toe and heel, but Odyssey has shaped that mass that offers a great visual of the direction to hit in. The various lines on the putter also add to this visual. This putter makes me feel like I'm going to swing it and hit it straight.
Nick Warren gave 5 of 5 stars. When setting up at address, if golfers choose to use a line on their ball, the single sight line in the top line will help most golfers set up properly. The fang design produces a sleek square alignment on each side of the ball with two long black lines.
Grip
5/5
Ignacio Isern gave 5 of 5 stars. I enjoyed this grip because it isn't too small or too large. It's made of a comfortable material but isn't very sticky. I could definitely feel the touch of the awesome urethane White Hot insert, which is super important to me. This is also an easy grip to dry and clean.
Nick Warren gave 5 of 5 stars. The stock grip feels great and is offered in both a standard pistol style and an oversized, more circle style. Also, the endless grips available through custom options make the grip options endless. Overall, I’ve used the same grip and seen many others use the stock putter grip for one to two seasons without wear issues.
Forgiveness
5/5
Ignacio Isern gave 5 of 5 stars. This is a very forgiving putter because the fang-like design adds a good amount of mass behind the toe and heel of the putter. Therefore, on off-center strikes the ball tends to maintain speed and direction quite well. Also, the weight of the putter is considerable (but not too much so), which also helps with forgiveness.
Nick Warren gave 5 of 5 stars. After experiencing short and long putts hit from the toe and heel, the results are very similar to those hit in the center. The head weight helps with stability and confidence on short putts. It's much more stable than a blade putter.
Feel
5/5
Ignacio Isern gave 5 of 5 stars. In my opinion, the feel is the best part about the Odyssey putter with the urethane White Hot insert. This insert includes the same soft material that Callaway uses on their golf balls. It generates a feel that is soft but springy. On short putts it feels firm, and on longer putts it feels soft, and that really helps in feeling the speed of the putts.
Nick Warren gave 5 of 5 stars. The insert promotes a soft feel and forward roll. The OG insert is familiar to many golfers and something that is very easy to adjust to. After a few practice rounds and indoor sessions, the White Hot insert doesn’t disappoint.
Balance
5/5
Ignacio Isern gave 5 of 5 stars. This putter has enough weight for my taste without being too heavy. When putters get too heavy I find it difficult to control the speed on longer putts. The weight is well distributed throughout the entire club. It is a face-balanced putter, so it is better suited for players with straighter strokes rather than on an arc, but in general this putter appeals to a wide range of players.

Nick Warren I love the combination of the weight adjustable clubhead, Stroke Lab shaft, White Hot insert, and Odyssey grip.
What was your favorite moment with this gear?
Ignacio Isern I'll never forget sinking a clutch six footer as the last player in my scramble team with this putter to get us on the podium.
Why did you choose this product?
Ignacio Isern This putter has it all. I love the feel of the White Hot insert; the design of the head, which helps you align the putter; the forgiveness on off-center hits because of the added mass behind the toe and heel; and its overall balance and weight distribution.
Nick Warren I chose this putter due to the combination of the weight adjustable clubhead and Stroke Lab shaft.
What is the value for the money versus other options?
Ignacio Isern Most of the putters that I have tried that have a feel that I like as much as this one tend to be about double the price. In my opinion it's hard to compete with the White Hot Insert. Odyssey's got something special going on there.
