Video Transcript
My name is Leo, a curated.com Ski Expert, and today we're talking about the Rossignol Experience Women's 76 versus the Head Pure Joy skis. These are both entry-level beginner skis that are designed to get you out of rentals and onto the slopes with your own gear. There's a lot of benefits to that.
One of the benefits is just having the consistency of having your own skis under your feet time and time again. This is going to allow you to progress more easily. It's going to remove an obstacle to getting on the mountain. You won't have to wait in a rental shop for two hours. You don't have to worry about the equipment being wrong for you. It's just nice to have your own gear and know that it's right for you. Value-wise, it pays for itself very quickly.
Rossignol Experience W 76 Skis + Xpress W 10 GW Bindings
The Rossignol Experience 76 is a phenomenal ski. It's one that you often find in rental fleets, but it's yours. It's got a tip guard and a nice soft core that makes it really easy to turn. It's got a good shape profile. It's not too stiff, not too demanding. It's really nice and attractive and it's got a great pair of bindings that come with it, the Rossignol Xpress 10. These are grip-walk capable so you can use them with any new boot, which of course is going to really make a big difference in your experience overall.
I've skied these myself and they are super fun. They're easy to turn and they make things like getting into moguls for the first time easy. If you want to do that, they are going to carve a groomer really well. They will find their limits in deep powder and at top speed. I'm able to reach the top speed of this ski really quickly. This is exactly why it's a great beginner ski. It's just going to keep you within your limits and give you the confidence to continue to grow as a skier.

Head Pure Joy Skis + Joy 9 GW SLR Bindings
Now, we can compare this to the Head Joy 9. The Head Joy Series has been a really historical line for Head. They really took the women's ski scene by storm in a lot of ways and so I'm really excited that they've continued this line on as a more beginner intermediate option. This gives us that familiarity, that confidence, that quality that we've gotten from Head over time. So, I'm going to show that we've actually sold out of this one at this point, already in November of 2024. Here we see this beautiful beginner ski, that's such a great value, already gone.
