The Curated Take
4.2/5
The Global Classic 11" chef's knife is an excellent choice for taller chefs or those who prefer a longer blade for slicing tasks. It boasts a comfortable stainless steel handle that offers a good grip and balance, enhancing the slicing experience. Made with durable Japanese steel, this knife is well polished, easy to maintain, and excels in durability. It's especially great for slicing larger cuts of meat, bread, or cakes, but may not be the best option for more intricate or precision-based tasks. This knife represents a good value for its quality, offering a balance of sharpness, comfort, and slicing efficiency.

Expert Reviews of the Global Classic 11" Chef's Knife
Melissa Brunetti I love using this 11-inch chef's knife for slicing. The length is excellent when I'm slicing steaks on a bias or portioning off some freshly baked bread. I really enjoy the stainless steel handle; I find it to be very comfortable, almost like an extension of my hand. This length is great for anyone who is on the taller side. I would not recommend it to someone who is looking for a precision knife. With the length, it is more difficult to control and harder to produce accurate precision knife cuts.

FAQs
What do you love about this product?
Melissa Brunetti I really love the uniqueness of the handle. It is very comfortable in my hand and well balanced. I was gifted the 8-inch version of this and really enjoyed it, but I found myself in situations where I wished the blade were longer. Now I use this product specifically in slicing situations where my shorter knife would not be sufficient.
What was your favorite moment with this gear?
Melissa Brunetti My favorite moment with this knife was the first time I used it to cut through a dry-aged, bone-in ribeye. It sliced the steak perfectly on a bias and away from the bone.
Why did you choose this product?
Melissa Brunetti I chose this knife specifically for its length. I wanted something that would be long enough and sharp enough to slice cakes with precision, cut steaks on a bias, and cut through brownies and cornbread.
What is the value for the money versus other options?
Melissa Brunetti To me, the price of this knife is a steal for the quality. It is relatively more affordable than most of its Japanese counterparts but with the same precision, sharpness, and finesse.
