The TaylorMade Hi-Toe 3 wedge is especially beneficial for golfers seeking to enhance their greenside play and introduce new shots into their game. Its design features a high toe and a large clubface area, providing maximum greenside spin, better control for one-hop-and-stop shots, and an increased chance to keep chip shots close to the hole. This wedge is ideal for cutting through rough and achieving soft landings. It's particularly effective in difficult lies, allowing for high flop shots and greater shot-making ability. This makes the Hi-Toe 3 Wedge a valuable tool for golfers looking to improve precision around the greens.

Expert Reviews of the TaylorMade Hi-Toe 3 Wedge
Jacob Wetzel The TaylorMade Hi-Toe 3 Wedge is designed for anyone looking to improve their play around the greens and add a variety of new shots to the bag. This wedge creates exceptional spin on greenside chips and provides the one-hop-and-stop control necessary on approach shots to improve proximity to the hole and get in position to make more putts.
With the new clubface designed to include more surface area on the toe of the club, there is more clubface area that can catch the ball as the club slides through the grass. On shots in the deep rough around the green this produces greater loft, softer landing, and an increased chance to keep a chip shot closer to the hole.
I trust this wedge as my go-to around the greens because of the different types of shots that it allows me to play versus a traditional wedge design. On full shots the Hi-Toe 3 interacts well with the turf, and I have no problem controlling spin.

Review Ratings
Greenside Spin
5/5
Jacob Wetzel gave 5 of 5 stars. This wedge allows me to play high-lofting flop shots around the green that will stop on impact. From down lies in the rough, the Hi-Toe 3 cuts through the shrubbery and generates enough spin to keep the ball in play and on the putting surface. For shots from the collar, this wedge generates max check control.
Spin
5/5
Jacob Wetzel gave 5 of 5 stars. For a top player with high swing speed and soft greens, this wedge can spin from the back to the front. For a higher handicapper, the Hi-Toe 3 provides the consistent spin necessary to hold the green on the approach shots without rolling off the edge.
I can plan for backspin with this wedge as it is a guarantee on full shots. This allows me to play approach shots off the slopes in the green and be more creative inside 100 yards.
Feel
4/5
Jacob Wetzel gave 4 of 5 stars. The higher portion of the toe of the clubface adds greater feel on shots around the green. The sole of the wedge cuts through the tall grasses, and the thud of the ground at impact is powerful.
From the apron, collar, and inside 30 yards, the Hi-Toe 3 interacts well with the turf and sends the ball online with nice checking power.
Full Shots
4/5
Jacob Wetzel gave 4 of 5 stars. I prefer a traditional designed wedge for full shots from 100 yards, and the 52-degree version of the Hi-Toe 3 does not look as high toed as the 56- and 60-degree versions do. I have the 52 degree in my bag in addition to the 56 and 60, and I use the 52 for shots from 95-110 yards. I can control the spin and feel confident with my accuracy with the 100-yard distance that is so important throughout the round.
Sound
5/5
Jacob Wetzel gave 5 of 5 stars. I am able to produce great divots with the Hi-Toe 3 that come with a great sound. Explosions of sand from the Bermuda grass and nice tufts of earth from Bentgrass produce the desirable thud sound as I dial in my approach shots and find the green.
FAQs
What do you love about this product?
Jacob Wetzel What I love most about the TaylorMade Hi-Toe 3 Wedge is the types of shots that it allows me to play around the green. Because the structural design of the clubface includes added surface area on the toe of the club, there is more clubface area to catch the ball as the club cuts through the grass.
I can play higher flop shots that land softer than a traditional wedge, which leads to more makeable putts. I have found this wedge to be the most reliable when faced with difficult lies around the green.
What was your favorite moment with this gear?
Jacob Wetzel My favorite moment with the TaylorMade Hi-Toe 3 wedge occurred in a deep sod-faced pot bunker at Cassique on Kiawah Island. Some of the bunkers there have sod-faced lips that are taller than I am.
With my ball close to the face of the bunker and what looked like an impossible situation, the 60-degree Hi-Toe sliced through the sand and the ball lifted straight up to the top of the 8-foot bunker and onto the green. I can confidently say that I do not have another wedge that is capable of performing such a shot, and I have experimented several times.
Why did you choose this product?
Jacob Wetzel I chose the TaylorMade Hi-Toe 3 Wedge because of its game-changing clubface design. The higher toe provides added shot-making ability and extreme spin on shots around the green that will make or break a scorecard.
What is the value for the money versus other options?
Jacob Wetzel The TaylorMade Hi-Toe 3 Wedge is priced similar to other premium wedges in the marketplace. With this wedge I know that I am getting the most up-to-date wedge design technology from a top golf manufacturer. Other options that are less expensive will not have equal capabilities that this wedge does.
