4.6/5
The Icelantic Shaman 2.0 99 skis are ideal for advanced and expert skiers who enjoy aggressive skiing. They excel in stability at high speeds and precise edge hold, allowing for superior carving on various terrains, from groomed runs to bumps and powder. The skis' stiffer flex and 99mm width underfoot enable them to handle diverse snow conditions, including hard, soft, and choppy snow, with ease. While their stiffness may not suit lighter individuals and beginners may find them challenging, they are perfect for intermediate to advanced skiers seeking a versatile, high-performance ski that excels in both carving and flotation.

Expert Reviews of the Icelantic Shaman 2.0 99 Skis
Scott Odle I tested this ski on a cold, snowy day. The Icelantic Shaman 2.0 ski is excellent for advanced, aggressive, or hard-core skiers. It carves extremely well and can handle small amounts of powder well. The skier must actively "ski" the Shaman 2.0. When rolled onto edge, the Shaman 2.0 carves like it's on rails. In bumps, it handles quick short turns well. In lesser amounts of powder and crud, it just blows through with ease. This ski can go down the steepest runs on the frontside. It's quick from edge to edge, and one can drive both short- and large-radius turns with precision.

Playfulness
4/5
Scott Odle gave 4 of 5 stars. Short- and long-radius turns were easy, and the ski was quick from edge to edge. In the bumps it was quick to turn and held edge well when it needed to. On groomers it carved turns as if it was on rails. Varying snow (from hard to soft) made no difference to the carving ability.
Durability
5/5
Scott Odle gave 5 of 5 stars. I found that the stiffer flex of the Shaman 2.0 made this ski durable for even heavier skiers like me. The ski responded in the moguls and came out of the higher-speed turns easily. This ski is made for the steeps and terrain where higher speeds are desired.
Versatility
5/5
Scott Odle gave 5 of 5 stars. It does not matter if it's in hard snow, soft snow, or powder: This ski does it all. It holds its edge in all snow conditions. It is geared towards the aggressive skier who likes the steeps and speed. One can spend the entire day carving the groomed runs on this ski at very high speeds.
High Speed Stability
5/5
Scott Odle gave 5 of 5 stars. The Shaman 2.0 carved turns extremely well. The ski was quick from edge to edge, and it held that edge extremely well on soft snow, hard snow, and ice. At high speeds there was little to no chatter or vibrations while either going straight or while in a turn.
Carving
5/5
Scott Odle gave 5 of 5 stars. The Shaman 2.0 carves extremely well. Once into the turn, the ski is stable and continues the turn. The ski was capable of carving turns in all types of conditions, including hard snow, soft snow, and chop. In the chop, it simply blew through the pile of snow as if it wasn't even there.
Flotation
4/5
Scott Odle gave 4 of 5 stars. With the Shaman's 99mm width underfoot, the ski did okay in the lesser amounts of thicker powder I tried. It had enough flotation to get through that powder without too much effort. The faster my speed, the easier it was to ski the powder.
Turn Ease
4/5
Scott Odle gave 4 of 5 stars. I found the ski was quick from edge to edge and very stable in the turn. It carved extremely well in both hard snow and soft snow and was not bothered by the chop one would encounter in a turn. It was lively in the bumps and turned with ease.
