Ahh, Father’s Day, the time when kids try to come up with something that their dad doesn’t already own or something that they need but they just won’t tell you! In my household, this looks a lot like sending my dad to Lowe’s with a brand new gift card and saying “get yourself something nice.” While this ends in his happiness, it always feels like a cop-out. So, I am here to help out those of you with dads who love golf. Check out the list below and see what can be given to your old man for the low price of $50! You may even be able to bundle some of these together for the ultimate affordable Father’s Day gift! Here are some of my favorite gift ideas for under $50.

Hats

Does your dad love wearing hats everywhere, not just on the course? Well, get that man a hat that he can be proud of and enjoy. Any golf hat is available for purchase at under $50, and your old man will surely be pleased. Word of caution: pick a nice neutral color so that he can style it with all of his clothes, not just one outfit. My favorites are the Under Armour hats and the Black Clover hats as options! Whether you opt for a trucker-style hat, so that all the hot air your dad spews is able to escape, or you choose a solid fabric hat, he will be sure to love having a new hat in his life!

Gloves

At the $50 dollar price point, you can add in a glove with that new hat and still come in under budget. Despite what I said about the hat, get your dad a glove that will stand out. Most golf gloves are white, so maybe go for a nice black or solid color instead. Or, go for one that has a unique wrist strap binder. Below, you will see three of my favorites that can be purchased straight from Curated!

FootJoy Golf StaSof Flag Glove

This glove takes the traditional white glove and adds a splash of patriotism onto the wrist. Play like you are competing for a Ryder Cup or President’s Cup with this glove in your bag!

FootJoy WeatherSof in Black

Sometimes, you just need to stand on the first tee and look like you mean business. Nothing says that more than a black glove, making you look like you are going to harness the power of the dark side and claim birdies on every hole!

TaylorMade Tour Preferred Flex Glove

If there were one logo that I would pick from an equipment company that just looks great, it would be the TaylorMade “T”, so why not have it on my glove knowing that it will help me send bombs and throw darts on every hole?

Golf Balls

There is nothing more important to a golfer, especially your dad, than getting a dozen new golf balls for him to sling around his favorite course. There are golf balls for every golfer out there: the “takes it seriously,” the nerd, and the beginner. Not to mention, many golf balls can be personalized to show your dad that you care!

Bridgestone Golf Tour B XS Tiger Woods Edition

Has your dad ever told you that Tiger Woods is the G.O.A.T? Well, now your dad can use the exact same golf ball that Tiger used at Augusta in 2019 to capture his 15th Major! What better way to say I love you than with a dozen balls that all have TIGER stamped on them to remind your dad that laying up is not an option?

TaylorMade TP5 2021

These balls are not only great for control from tee to green but also show off their exceptional control around the greenside in various lies and predicaments. Get these for your dad and watch his eyes light up as he starts feeling like he is playing better and better golf each day!

Shirts

Golf is a great game where you can get away with wearing just about anything on the course, as long as it has a collar. For $50, you can probably find your old man a nice polo that looks like the ones worn on Tour every week. Amazon is a great place to go searching for deals on shirts for the course to freshen up dad’s style a bit and get him more in tune with what’s in style from various companies. Nike is always trying to push the limits with their stuff, and Adidas and Under Armour love to keep it simple yet stylin’!

If you want to push the limits of style a little, scroll through golf Instagram and find some newcomers in the golf shirt markets to pick styles from. Rhoback has some great options for anyone looking for a dog logo on their shirt, while many others offer crazy prints and bright colors to offset any bad shots that one might hit on the course. Even Puma is starting to go crazier with their gear and is sure to be a hit with the stylish father.

Headcovers

Dogs, dragons, gophers, and more! Get your dad a headcover that will make his bag stand out and have him feeling confident every time he uncovers the big stick. There is no better statement piece in golf than an animal headcover, just ask Tiger and Rory! If your dad has a nerdy side, well you’re in luck, you can get him a Star Wars character as a headcover. Does your dad have a proclivity for rolling the rock and putting for dough? Get him a cool new putter cover! TaylorMade is rocking some new covers for their Spider putters and most blade style putters can be transformed by a cool aftermarket cover as well.

Ask your Curated expert if they can help you find a Frank the Tiger headcover or some other cool options. My golf bag has a dragon protecting the big stick and an aggressive polar bear going into beast mode on the putter. Two flashy covers for the two flashiest clubs in the golf bag!

Ball Markers and Divot Tools

I am lumping these two together because it is fairly common to receive both as a combo gift. Ball markers come in all shapes and sizes these days and I happen to have just bought three: one is a bourbon barrel, one is a Viking shield, and one is a coin with scratch marks for when I have to turn up and go beast mode to finish a round. Want something a little bigger? How about a nice poker chip as a gift? Odyssey started this trend way back in the early 2000s and they have only picked up steam recently. Get him a marker that he can see as he walks to the other side of the hole before he drains that birdie putt!

As far as divot tools go, get your dad something useful. And by that I mean, choose from one of the following two options: get your dad a divot tool with a ball marker representing his favorite sports team or get him a Swiss-Army-Knife-style divot tool with a brush and marker as well. Either of these new tools will help your dad feel like a pro out on the golf course and are sure to win you brownie points for the year!

We also offer the option of a Curated gift card which can be used towards making a golf purchase with free expert help, finding the right gear for your father's needs.

Whatever you choose to get your dad for a gift, he will be sure to find a way to enjoy it out on the course! A new glove goes a long way, but decking his bag out with a new headcover is also a great way to say “go be a bomber!” Just make sure that you have a variety of options in case you cannot find what you are looking for in one category or another. Make his day great and feel good knowing that you actually found a gift that he can enjoy without having to ask him!
