The 8 Best Women's Snowboards

Hey gals, you made it. You’re about to learn about the best snowboards in the industry.
My name is Samuel, but you can call me Sam. As a former snowboard instructor, writing about snowboarding and sharing my experiences on the mountain is one of my life’s great pleasures. When I’m not typing at my laptop in my favorite coffee shop, you can find me on the slopes. This year I’m snowboarding Les 3 Vallées, in France!
Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, a powder hound or a park rat, you’ve come to the right place. Finding the right board for you is the most important aspect of setting yourself up for the future, which hopefully includes lots and lots of snowboarding. If you’re like me, then you will find out everything there is to know about a board before you buy it, and that’s great! First things first, though, there are some major differences between men’s and women’s snowboards.
How Are Women’s Snowboards Different From Men’s?
The main difference between women’s and men’s snowboards is size and stiffness. Women’s snowboards tend to be less stiff and more narrow. Why would size and stiffness play such a major role? Women, on average, have lower centers of gravity, and their feet tend to be smaller. All your favorite snowboard brands take this into account, and they have created boards just for you!
Just like men’s snowboards, soft flex boards are better suited for beginners and are more playful, whereas stiff flex boards are geared towards power, ultimate performance, and responsiveness (great for advanced snowboarders). Similarly, snowboards for women may include narrower bindings and stance widths designed for female builds.
Pick Your Poison: Which Snowboard Best Suits Your Riding Style?

buy the board that is going to suit your riding style. If you don’t like riding off-piste, there is no point in getting a directional snowboard designed for floating in powder.
For this article, we are focusing on five categories of snowboards that might be right for you. First, we are going to look at some beginner snowboards. Then, we are going to go over the best all-mountain snowboards. After that, we are going to dive into some great powder boards, and then we are going to wrap things up with a couple of value boards.
Best Beginner Snowboards For Women
The snowboards below are optimal for those who have little to no experience riding. If you have never owned a snowboard, these might be the ones for you. Beginner snowboards are often soft-flex rockers designed for those learning to carve. These boards are great for green trails and gaining confidence.
Arbor Ethos Rocker Snowboard · Women's · 2024
The Ethos Rocker is a great board for those learning and discovering their preferred snowboard profile. This directional twin is super soft and forgiving.
This board rides well in hard-packed and icy conditions. It’s an all-mountain snowboard that one might own for a season or two while they build up the courage and confidence to conquer the most complicated of ski slopes (that’s a lot of alliteration!). This board lacks stability at high speeds, so if you are someone who likes to go fast, maybe you’ll want to check out the next one.
Salomon Lotus Snowboard · Women's · 2024
Salomon is one of the best ski and snowboard brands in the industry. This snowboard has a flex rating of 1/10, which means it is super soft (very bendy). This all-mountain, freestyle snowboard has a flat-out camber profile that is perfect for those wanting a more playful board that gets decent pop.
Super stable, this board is great for those progressing from beginner to intermediate. The board holds its edges immaculately and is very easy to turn. I would not recommend taking this board in deep pow.

Best All-Mountain Snowboards For Women
The boards above were all-mountain snowboards, but these are proper, world-class snowboards that beginners should avoid until they are good enough to ride them. All-mountain snowboards are great for riders who want to own only one snowboard to take to resorts. They are the do-it-all boards that you can take on groomers, in the park, or even in the backcountry. If you want a holistic snowboarding experience, check out these awesome boards.
Ride Saturday Snowboard · Women's · 2024
The Ride Saturday is one of those boards that only intermediate to advanced snowboarders should ride. It’s a medium flex, do-it-all snowboard that checks all the boxes. This board is super playful, and its rocker tip and tail ensure riders can hit the pow on those snowy days. That said, it’s not the penultimate pow board.
This board is a true twin, so you can ride it in either direction with ease. Don’t be afraid to take this board to the terrain park!

Lib Tech Cortado Snowboard · Women's · 2024
Lib Tech makes some incredible boards (I love the Orca). The Lib Tech Cortado is a great board for women with larger feet and bindings. The board is a bit wider than most, which adds stability to Lib Tech’s already-stable signature Magne-traction.
While this board might lack some playfulness in the park, it offers endless pow days. This board is designed for intermediate to advanced riders looking for ultimate balance. Its directional shape and wide profile make carving easy and awesome. If you really like powder, these next ones are for you.

Best Pow Snowboards For Women
If you like off-piste, pow, or backcountry snowboarding, these next two boards will suit you well. Pow boards offer unbeatable float, directional shapes, and rocker profiles.
Rome Ravine Snowboard · Women's · 2024
The Rome Ravine is one of the best pow boards on the market right now. This freeride board features a wide nose and tail and deep side cuts. This is a powder chaser that offers stability in deep, deep pow. This medium-flex board is better suited to lighter-weight women.
While this board certainly does well in powder, it’s a formidable all-mountain board, too. No powder? No problem! This board is going to be fun to ride no matter where you are and as long as there is snow on the ground.
K2 Excavator Snowboard · 2024
K2 is making waves in the snowboarding world, and lots of people are opting to switch to this innovative brand. The K2 Excavator is a board that offers insane carving abilities as well as pow efficiency. Advanced riders will find they can rip the slopes to shreds with this directional snowboard.
This mid-flex board is volume-shifted, meaning it’s a little bit wider and a lot more stable. It is actually a unisex snowboard, too. Similar to the Lib Tech Cortado, this board is going to be great for those who have larger boots and bindings. Just note that this board is not ideal for the park. Get shredding!

Best Value Snowboards For Women
Snowboarding ain’t cheap, and if you’re like me you’ll always make sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck. These boards are great and are on the more affordable side.
Nitro Lectra Snowboard · Women's · 2024
The Nitro Lectra is the best board you can get for a low cost. It’s a directional twin with a predictable feel to it. This all-mountain snowboard is for intermediate riders looking to do it all on a budget.
The Lectra is on the softer side in terms of flex, but it still offers lots of stability all over the piste. The only place I would recommend not taking this board is in super deep powder or the backcountry.

Rome Royal Snowboard · Women's · 2024
The Ride Royal is best suited for intermediate riders and has a low price tag. It’s super soft, which means it’s great for butters and presses. Its true twin, rocker profile makes carving the slopes as easy as spreading slightly melted butter on a warm piece of toast (true twin shapes mean the board is 100% symmetrical).
The Royal is a budget-friendly snowboard that is perfect for women looking to progress their riding skills. Its twin shape ensures beginners and intermediates can ride switch, too. If you are advanced, this one is not for you.
