Expert Reviews of the GreenPan Reserve 10" and 12" Frypan Set
Kate Wilson This set is great for people who like to keep cooking quick and simple. The pans heat up quickly and offer a nice, even brown on sautéed items. I generally use the smaller pan for omelets, pancakes, and sausage in the mornings and sautéing veggies at night. Regardless of what I'm making, cleanup is very easy—just a quick rinse and wipe with a sponge! Everyone in the family loves using them for this reason.
The pans get very hot, so keep an eye on them when in use, or the bottom will scorch quickly. The oil spills to the sides, especially as it heats up, and cooking one small piece of meat or vegetable in the middle is not ideal for this reason.
While these are downsides to consider, these pans are easy to cook with and offer the best cleanup of a nonstick pan I've ever used.

Review Ratings
Ease of Cleaning
5/5
Kate Wilson gave 5 of 5 stars. From the first time using these pans until literally this morning, clean up is the easiest I've ever experienced in any type of pan. I love rinsing with plain water and wiping with a sponge or soft brush. These pans are very easy to take care of and do not require harsh detergents or much elbow grease.
Weight
5/5
Kate Wilson gave 5 of 5 stars. These pans are of average weight but lean slightly toward the lighter end of the scale. I am used to cooking with cast iron, which, of course, is much heavier, so these are very easy to transfer from stove to oven to table. Even my younger family members have no trouble using these pans.
Ergonomics
4/5
Kate Wilson gave 4 of 5 stars. Handles are long and easy to grasp. They are simple enough to use when tipping the pan to pour out contents, but there is no noticeable difference between these and any other nonstick pan I've ever used. They do not seem slippery and are ergonomically designed.
Aesthetics
4/5
Kate Wilson gave 4 of 5 stars. It has a pretty interior that cleans up nicely and looks new after every clean. Even the minor scratches are not that noticeable. The exterior comes in several color options and stays bright and pretty after several uses. The bottom of the pans show some wear on the lighter-colored options, but this is to be expected with use on an open flame.
Non-Stick Coating
5/5
Kate Wilson gave 5 of 5 stars. When I first started using these pans, I marveled at how things slid right off them. I used to try not to use utensils to see how efficient the nonstick really was. Now that the novelty has worn off, I use a spatula, but I still maintain that, in general, I don't need to. They offer a great performance overall.
Durability
4/5
Kate Wilson gave 4 of 5 stars. The interior surface is durable. However, there are minor scratches due to very few instances where I used a fork to flip over my food. I am disappointed to see this because I am very careful with these pans and generally use utensils that are not metal or stainless steel. This means that the interior scratched the one or two times I've used a fork. The scratches are minor, as stated.
Heat Resistance
3/5
Kate Wilson gave 3 of 5 stars. I usually put a little water in the pan when cooking sausages and eggs. This pan heats up very fast, and the water evaporates faster than any other pan I've ever used. This is great for quick, even heating, but in the instances I've mentioned, it makes it so that I have to be very careful when using these. Do not leave them unattended.
Size
5/5
Kate Wilson gave 5 of 5 stars. I use the smaller pan for breakfast items or when cooking for myself. The larger pan is great for pancakes and larger meals for the family. They nest together nicely and fit in my average-size cupboards. They also fit perfectly on the stove and in the oven. It is a nice set and very versatile.
Versatility
4/5
Kate Wilson gave 4 of 5 stars. The four-star rating is because while these pans heat up quickly and are suitable for just about any type of meal, the oil falls to the sides of the pan when heated, making it difficult to sear things in the middle of the pan if I want a crispy finish that oil helps create. It is also suitable for the oven, but I rarely use it as such because it heats up very quickly, and I really have to keep an eye on my meal.
Heat Conductivity
5/5
Kate Wilson gave 5 of 5 stars. This pan heats up faster than any other nonstick ceramic I've used. It also stays hot while I'm cooking, and the use of a lid really speeds things up. I love to cook eggs in this pan and softer meats like sausage. Food cooks quickly and evenly on the stove and in the oven, although again, I recommend keeping an eye on things in the oven.
Quality
4/5
Kate Wilson gave 4 of 5 stars. I have been very happy with this set because there has been no flaking on the exterior or interior surfaces. It has held up well after daily use for almost six months, except for small scratches due to using a fork. I am very careful with my cookware and know I wasn't careless when flipping my food over, so it seems that it cannot take any amount of utensils made from metal or stainless steel. Overall, it's a beautiful set that is easy to cook with, and the cleanup is even better. The handles are sturdy and do not come loose or get overly hot unless exposed to a high open flame. These are durable pans that will last with good care.
