The Curated Take
4.4/5
The K2 Reckoner 112 skis are well-suited for all-mountain riders seeking a versatile, playful, and poppy experience. They perform excellently in various conditions, from powder to packed snow, making them ideal for those who enjoy an all-around ski. While they excel in floating and pushing through diverse terrain, they could be better for carving and can feel unstable at high speeds, particularly on icy surfaces. Their twin-tip design ensures easy turning, and the carbon stringers add to their playful nature. These skis are a top choice for riders looking for fun, flexibility, and versatility on the mountain.

Expert Reviews of the K2 Reckoner 112 Skis
Lucia L The K2 Reckoner 112 is a ski one can't go wrong with. I am a big fan of the entire Reckoner family, but the 112 is by far my favorite. While some Reckoners are better in the park and others in powder, the 112 can really do it all. I rode these skis around Crystal Mountain quite a few times, and they were loads of fun. The high flex let me make quick and nimble turns down the mountain and around moguls while the edges held well throughout the turns. The carbon stringers in the ski helped dampen the ride and made the ski poppy and playful. If someone is looking for a fun ski to play around the whole mountain with, the K2 Reckoner 112 is one to consider.

Turn Ease
5/5
Lucia L gave 5 of 5 stars. I felt that the K2 Reckoner 112s were pretty easy to turn. The tip and tail rocker shortens the effective edge so skiers can quickly snap them around. I am 5'10" and tried both the 184cm and 177cm sizes and found the shorter one to be a little more manageable. With the width of the ski, the 177cm size was easy to maneuver and snappy.
Playfulness
5/5
Lucia L gave 5 of 5 stars. Like other Reckoners, the K2 Reckoner 112 is playful and poppy. The wood core with carbon stringers gives the ski an extra boost, making it feel poppy underfoot. Even though the 112 was pretty wide for me, I had no issue boosting them off bumps while riding all over the mountain. They are super flexible as well, which makes them loads of fun in slush and corny snow.
Durability
4/5
Lucia L gave 4 of 5 stars. The K2 Reckoners seem to be a pretty durable ski. I am notoriously known for destroying and core-shooting skis and have taken the 112 Reckoners through their share of rocks and stumps. However, the bases held up well, with only a few scratches. The topsheets get scuffed easily and have more chips than other skis, but this might result from high use rather than quality.
High Speed Stability
3/5
Lucia L gave 3 of 5 stars. The one shortcoming of the 112 Reckoner has to be stability at high speeds. The skis hold up well at high speeds when riding off-piste, with only a little floppiness. However, things got a bit scary when I took these skis to a groomer with a little ice. I could get them on edge, but I really had to drive them into the snow. The carbon stringers help dampen the ride, but I found them more chattery than I would have liked.
Carving
4/5
Lucia L gave 4 of 5 stars. Because of the flexiness of the ski, I could easily get them on edge and hold a solid carve. Obviously, these will not be race-worthy carving skis, but if someone is looking for something that can get on edge from time to time, they could get by with these. The wider waist makes it a little sketchy to shift edge to edge on ice, but skiers should be fine if they are on softer snow.
Versatility
5/5
Lucia L gave 5 of 5 stars. The 112 K2 Reckoner was very versatile. While this ski is a ton of fun in the park and the freestyle world, it handled big mountain riding well. The wider waist gives the ski a ton of float, so skiers can go pretty much anywhere but keep it narrow enough that they can still carve and make quick turns. I really liked that I could still pop and play while riding big mountain terrain.
Flotation
5/5
Lucia L gave 5 of 5 stars. The K2 Reckoner 112 was super fun off-piste and in powder. I took it out on a powder day, which turned into warmer, choppy snow in the afternoon. In the morning, the ski stayed afloat and was easy to turn. I thought they would get a little stuck in the heavier stuff in the afternoon, but they kept floating. I found the skis to push through the chop really well, which is crucial when skiing in the PNW.
FAQs
What do you love about this product?
Lucia L I really enjoy how versatile the K2 Reckoner 112 is. I feel that this is truly an all-mountain ski for me.
What was your favorite moment with this gear?
Lucia L My favorite moment with the K2 Reckoner 112 had to be a powder day I took them out on last season. The skis were soft enough to pop and play off pillow and bumps but wide enough to float and provide stability when making bigger turns.
Why did you choose this product?
Lucia L I chose to try the 112 Reckoners since I am a big fan of the 102s but felt they were too narrow to be an all-mountain ski. I have heard that the 112s are more of an all-mountain option and ride more solidly, so I wanted to try them.
