The Curated Take
4.8/5
The Anolon Accolade Forged Hard-Anodized Nonstick Induction Square Grill Pan is ideal for home cooks who need a versatile, large pan for cooking meals for two or more. Its nonstick surface works well with or without oil, simplifying cooking and cleaning. While it heats evenly on all stovetops, it does so a bit slower than average and is oven-safe only up to 400°. The pan's size may be too large for small stovetops. Its durability, easy cleaning, and compatibility with various stovetops make it a valuable kitchen tool, especially for those who frequently cook large portions.

Expert Reviews of the Anolon Accolade Forged Hard Anodized Nonstick Induction Square Grill Pan
Kate Wilson This pan exceeds my expectations. I tested it with and without oil, and it works just fine either way, although oil offers a nicer, browned result (see photos!). The larger size is great for searing large portions of veggies or cuts of meat, and I especially love that I can cook a whole breakfast for my partner and I in one pan. After cooking, I just rinse with water and wipe with a soft dish brush or sponge. Very easy to clean! The bottom is not nonstick, but I love how durable it is and prefer this finish so it won't scratch or flake where it gets most of its wear and tear.
The only downside is it takes slightly longer to heat up than I expected, but with this being said, I'm used to cooking with ceramic cookware. It heats up about the same or slightly slower than cast iron. I also cook many things at 425°, and this pan is only safe up to 400°.
While it isn't an issue in my kitchen, I can see how the larger size may be too large for smaller electric burners.
Overall, I'm very happy with this grill pan!

Size
5/5
Kate Wilson gave 5 of 5 stars. This pan accommodates entire meals for two or larger portions of vegetables or cuts of meat nicely. I can even cook saucy meals in it or add water to steam if necessary because of the taller side walls and pour spouts. It's a staple for breakfast primarily, but I do like to sear meats on it for dinner, too.
Durability
5/5
Kate Wilson gave 5 of 5 stars. I generally hand wash all of my cookware to prolong its lifespan, but sometimes, it gets unintentionally tossed in the dishwasher. Even so, the grill pan shows no sign of deterioration. The pan feels very sturdy, performs consistently every time, with no peeling of the nonstick, and the handle is riveted on tight.
Non-Stick Coating
5/5
Kate Wilson gave 5 of 5 stars. I have used this grill pan for many meals and experimented with and without oil. Food flips and slides off in either case, although it turns a nice brown when oil is used. I have never had any food stick to the pan. I only cook on medium heat (and medium-high heat on rare occasions), but it works very well under these conditions.
Ease of Cleaning
5/5
Kate Wilson gave 5 of 5 stars. I wipe this down with a sponge or soft brush. The pan doesn't require harsh detergents and cleans up in literally under 30 seconds. The nonstick exterior side walls help with this. The bottom is not nonstick, but I prefer it this way because it adds to the durability. It's my go-to pan when I need to clean up quickly.
Compatibility
5/5
Kate Wilson gave 5 of 5 stars. I have used this grill pan on my induction stove in our last house, on a glass-top stove at a family member's house, and on my gas stove at my current home. It works wonderfully on all three. It is a little large for smaller stoves with electric gas burners, so that's something to keep in mind, but that is due more to the size than compatibility. A smaller pan should be purchased in this case.
Heat Conductivity
4/5
Kate Wilson gave 4 of 5 stars. I expected this pan to heat up quickly, as most of my other cookware does, but it takes about 30 seconds longer to get really hot. I never turn the burner on high heat, which would obviously make a difference, but I like to get a nice steady medium heat across the pan. Once heated, though, it does heat evenly across all stovetops.
FAQs
What do you love about this product?
Kate Wilson I love the size of this pan. I usually just cook for my partner and I, and it's a great size for cooking everything in it, including meat, veggies, and even toasting a slice of bread. It heats up evenly and is a nice size for the average stove burner. The nonstick exterior sides make it very easy to clean up, too.
Why did you choose this product?
Kate Wilson I needed a pan that was big enough to cook a meal for two, that was easy to clean and oven-safe. The nonstick exterior sidewalls were another selling point for sure. The bottom of the pan seemed sturdy and resistant to warping, too.
What is the value for the money versus other options?
Kate Wilson Skillets with similar features are about the same price, which makes this pan worth the cost. The added benefit to this one versus the competition is that the bottom is highly durable, it's induction compatible, and the exterior sidewalls are also nonstick, making clean-up easy.
