In the world of skiing, the K2 Mindbender 99Ti and the Faction Prodigy 2 are two skis that have made a name for themselves. Both are designed for advanced to expert skiers and are known for their versatility and performance. The K2 Mindbender 99Ti is a freeride ski that excels at speed and in mixed conditions, while the Faction Prodigy 2 is a playful all-mountain ski that shines in the park and off-piste. Both skis are praised for their stability, maneuverability, and edge hold. However, the Mindbender 99Ti is more suited for high-speed carving and off-piste terrain, while the Prodigy 2 is more playful and freestyle-oriented. The final verdict? It depends on your skiing style and preference. If you're a speed demon who loves to charge down the mountain, the Mindbender 99Ti is your ski. If you're a freestyle enthusiast who loves to play around in the park and off-piste, the Prodigy 2 is your go-to.

The K2 Mindbender 99Ti Skis are a freeride ski that is also a daily usable ski. They are designed with advanced-expert skiers in mind who value hard charging, but still retain a dose of playfulness with the tip rocker for quick turns in the trees and moguls. The skis are wide enough to handle any powder day, but still an excellent carver. The Y-beam layer of Titanal metal creates a responsive and stable ride. These skis are fun at speeds and have no chatter at all. The early rise allows the 99mm waisted ski to perform great both on the groomers and off. The Mindbender 99Ti's are recommended to any skiers looking for stability at speeds and a ski that carves and holds edge on variable snowpack. However, they are not ideal for slow speeds as they can feel a bit stiff and board-like.

I really enjoyed the chance to bend my mind on a freeride ski that is also a daily usable ski. I found this ski excelled at speed and in mixed conditions. The TI of this ski is an adds great suspension element that allowed my to feel confident in every condition.

The Faction Prodigy 2 Skis are a versatile and playful choice for freestyle and all-mountain skiers. With a poplar and beech wood core, these skis offer a balance of lightweight maneuverability and solid stability. The 98mm waist width and twin-tip design make them suitable for all-mountain skiing and terrain park fun. These skis are ideal for intermediate to advanced skiers looking for a reliable and fun ride on the slopes. The Prodigy 2 is a classic all-mountain and park hybrid. It rocks a poplar wood core giving it dampening, pop, and a medium weight. This ski caters best to the rider who wants to sit back on their tails through fluff one run then charge full-speed down some corduroy on the next. When your day can consist of anything from carving to bumps to pow to jumps, the Prodigy is the ideal tool.

My overall impression was that it is spot on with what Faction is claiming. We had these in the park, in the trees, and a little bit of pow; and they were a true pleasure to ride.
