The Blizzard Brahma 82 Skis are designed for skiers who love high speed, stiff, and burly skis for carving and groomer terrain. They are versatile enough for both newer and advanced skiers, making them a well-rounded option for all-mountain skiing.
The Brahma 82 is an awesome all-mountain tool from Blizzard. It's definitely on the more narrow side with an 82 mm waist, but don't let that fool you; this is still a sturdy ski, with a sheet of Titanal metal over the wood core for strong edge grip and a strong, consistent flex. What's so great about the Brahma 82 is its versatility; it's approachable for a newer skier who wants something confident and is looking to progress quickly, but it's also a great option for advanced skiers who stick mainly to on-piste skiing and want a carving/all-mountain ski.

The Brahma 82 is versatile, making it suitable for both newer skiers looking to progress quickly and advanced skiers who primarily ski on-piste. With a strong and consistent flex, these skis offer confidence and control all over the mountain.
One of my favorite memories on this ski was ripping down a wide open groomer and dropping real low to the ground. Given that my usual daily driver is a much wider and rockered all mountain ski, this one feels like a race car. It definitely demands your full attention and favors a stronger pilot.

The Atomic Maverick 88 Ti Skis are a narrow directional all-mountain ski that would make a great one ski quiver for an East Coast skier or a great ski for groomer days for someone who's skiing west of the Continental Divide. On the first run, you'll be impressed with how well this ski holds an edge on a fairly hard surface. The ski is able to hold an edge, but it's also capable of smearing turns very well, which isn't always true of a ski this narrow.
The ski has a 19.5-meter turn radius. That's a fairly big turn radius for a frontside ski, so it's really ideal for people who like to make medium turns. But, for a ski with that turn radius, it's pretty maneuverable for shorter turns as well. This ski is designed for someone who likes to spend a fair amount of their time carving on groomers. The edge hold is great. There's a nice amount of rebound and energy out of the turn for an 88-millimeter waisted ski.
This is a fairly damp ski on really firm, uneven terrain. You might get a little bit of tip chatter, but you'll be really happy with how the ski absorbs vibrations skiing over refrozen groomed terrain. The shovels are a little bit on the softer side, which makes the ski a little bit more forgiving, but it might not be the best if you really like top-end speed.
On my first run, I took this ski down a trail that had about half an inch of fresh snow over a fairly hard surface that had refrozen from the night before. I was really impressed when I was trying to hold an edge on that surface. The ski was able to hold an edge, but it was also capable of smearing turns very well, which isn't always true of a ski this narrow.
