What is an appropriate amount of money to spend on the man responsible for teaching you so many of life’s biggest lessons? Not only that, but is there really any gift on Earth that your dad would truly value? In my life, the answer is no! My dad is a man who will go buy whatever he wants when he needs it. Whether or not you and your family have the same experience, check out the recommendations below to see some great options for you to buy to truly wow your golfer dad!

Golf Balls

Every golfer on the planet needs golf balls and the weekend warriors need even more than the experienced golfer. Sure, they can find some in the woods while looking for their partner’s ball, but having a fresh dozen balls is a great way to brighten your father’s day. Now, you could go for the stock options and just pick up a box of brand new Titleist Pro V1s or TaylorMade TP5 Pix, but why stop there? Instead, go to any number of stores or websites and ask about golf ball personalization. Some companies allow you only to stamp words or logos while others will let you put any picture you want onto the ball! Here are some of my favorite options:

TaylorMade TP5 Pix

Is your dad a sports nut and has a favorite NBA team? This is the ball to go with. Head over to TaylorMade’s website and find the ball that matches his favorite team. These run you about $47 per dozen, so why not get him two boxes to really make his day? Your Curated expert can even help you navigate the process!

Vice Golf Balls

A newcomer in the golf ball game, Vice has taken the sport by storm with their various collections of interesting covers to the golf balls. From the Drip version to numerous color options, you will be sure to find something your dad will love. And with the bonus of being able to customize how you want, these will truly show that you know and care about your old man!

Rounds of Golf

If you and your dad both enjoy a little time on the golf course, find your nearest local track and head out for a round of golf together. You can spend the next few hours enjoying a little time of reflection and hearing about your dad’s greatest rounds of his life. On top of that, you could get matching hats or other apparel from inside to mark the momentous occasion of spending a Father’s Day out in the sun and enjoying a little fresh air. Make sure to grab some cold ones or whatever his favorite on-course drink is to make it even more special!

Many golf courses offer discounts if you purchase multiple rounds at once as well. They all want repeat customers and need people to be out there playing to keep making a profit. Ask your local course’s pro shop about their deals or if they are willing to give a discount if you purchase multiple rounds at once. Not many courses will say no, especially the locals that have high competition!

TopGolf

Going to a driving range with your dad is soooo twentieth century, but going to TopGolf is hip, trendy, and sure to make you and your whole family happy! Head out to the nearest location, (there are 72 locations in the United States alone), and enjoy an hour or two of playing the various games. While you wait for your hitting bay to open, make sure to get your dad a new Black Clover hat in his favorite color! While playing, enjoy some cocktails (I suggest the Golf Bag margarita!) and some delicious food all while sharing laughs and smiles with everyone you love!

TopGolf has so many fun games that you can play, making it a viable option for numerous fun outings and time away from the house. From traditional Closest to the Pin games to new games like the Angry Birds game, golfers can enjoy hitting from the bays at TopGolf without feeling like they are doing the same thing over and over again. If there is a TopGolf in your city or within an easy drive, consider signing up for an Unlimited Summer Play Pass which you may use for unlimited play until 5pm weekdays from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Upgrading His Clubs

First of all, let’s be realistic about what this means. This does not, by any stretch of the imagination, mean that with $100 you can buy your dad a new golf club, let alone a whole set. This does, however, mean that you can upgrade his clubs to rejuvenate them. Have you seen the grips on his clubs? Maybe they are worn out and slippery which means the best gift you could get your dad is some new grips to put on them and a time slot to have the work done! Maybe your dad has struggled to hit his irons and you, being the golf nut that you are, know that a fitting or a different shaft flex may help with that. Whatever the case may be, here is a list of steps you should follow to complete this gift effortlessly and flawlessly: 1. Check what kind of grips/shafts your dad currently plays. Make a note on a piece of paper or in your smartphone so that you have the information ready 2. Head to Curated and get matched with an expert. You will have to fill out a survey for your dad, so just get as close as possible and then be upfront with your expert when you are connected. 3. Be open and honest with your expert about what you are attempting to do and how much knowledge you have about that process. We are happy to walk you through all of these processes and find the perfect fit for your dad. And remember, it is better to ask the question instead of assuming you know the answer and being misinformed. 4. Allow your expert to recommend some options and work together to choose the best gift for your dad. 5. Pick the option, add it to your cart, and submit your payment and the gift will be to you in no time at all!

By following these five steps, you will have gained access to an expert who is well versed in just about every aspect of the game of golf. They will be able to assist you with anything you need and will do their best to make sure you get exactly what you want, when you want it, and do so while making the process as easy as possible. Your dad will appreciate his new, non-slip grips or a new shaft that helps him keep more of his golf balls from becoming lost in the woods. By making this choice, you will show your dad that you took the initiative to think outside of the box and come up with a gift that truly means something to him!

If you can't figure out what he needs to upgrade or if you know that he likes to pick out his own gear, you can get him a Curated gift card! He can use it towards making a golf purchase with free expert help, finding the right gear for his exact needs.

Father’s Day shouldn’t bring about internal panic and huge amounts of anxiety. By choosing from the above list, you can spend a decent amount of money to make your dad’s day the best it has been in years. If you need any help, you can always head to Curated to be matched with an expert (maybe it will be me!) and we can walk you through the steps. If you feel like some of this is too late for father’s day, that’s ok too; your dad has a birthday, anniversary, and other major holidays to celebrate and you can use this list for those as well!
