Golf Gifts for Dad under $250

The man, the myth, the legend: your dad! He raised you in his own way, and the man is responsible in part for who you became. As such, it is that time of year when people are freaking out, trying to find their last-minute gifts for the man who seemingly has it all. He’s probably outside right now in his white New Balance shoes cutting the grass or edging the drive. It is these precious moments where he cannot sneak up on you to surprise you that you have to figure out what to get him for that most important day: Father’s Day.
Now, you already have a leg up on the competition. You know that your dad golfs, either as a hobby or an obsession, but either way, he loves the sport more than most things in his life. Whether you are equally obsessed or downright baffled about the game of golf, we have you covered, so you can get him the best gift $250 dollars can buy! Check out the awesome recommendations below to see the wide array of options you can choose from to make his Father’s Day truly special!
Golf Clubs
Let’s start with the easiest option from Curated, which would be to purchase a golf club for your dad. Now, at $250 you have access to upgrade just about any club in his bag, especially if he is open to used clubs. First, let’s break down the options:
Fairway Woods
Nothing makes a golfer happy than a new stick to add to the long game arsenal. Get your dad a new fairway wood to allow him to play sensibly off the tee or go for broke on a Par 5! He will love the consideration and thought that goes into buying one of these. Check out my two favorites in this category below!
- TaylorMade SIM Max: These clubs are absolute bombers! You feel great getting a hold of these and watching the ball soar through the air before coming down right where you want it to, thanks in part to the Twist Face technology. Poured shots and mishits tend to end up in a tighter dispersion making this a must-have for his bag!
- Cobra FMax Airspeed: These are a great option when looking for great technology at a bit of a steal! Not to mention, these clubs have a draw bias to help golfers with their slice.
Hybrids
Again, the long game needs a bit of love, so why not get your dad a hybrid that will make it easier to attack pins from great distances? These clubs are designed to get the ball in the air and landing a little softer than a traditional long iron, so having this in the bag can be a secret weapon the next time he is out on the course with his buddies!
Wedges
The antithesis of bolstering the long game is finding clubs to take away big numbers by making his short game that much better. Get your dad a new wedge or two and see his face light up with the realization he can now, miraculously, hit the Phil Mickelson Phlop Shot that touches the moon!
Putters
Does your dad come home and complain about all the shots he wasted on the greens? Mine too! (And honestly, me too...it’s a common affliction sadly). Get your dad a cool new flat stick (or a gift card towards one) and watch him come home glowing knowing he didn’t in fact miss that last putt on the 18th green to shoot his career-low score!
Golf Getaways

Big Cedar Lodge
This getaway is nestled into the heartlands of Missouri and is great for everyone, not just the golfer in the family. There are numerous courses up there, including the newest of the bunch: Payne’s Valley, designed by the great Tiger Woods. Playing a course designed by one of the game’s greats is always a treat and your dad will be sure to enjoy the wide, rolling fairways!
Coeur d’Alene Resort
Again, another great one for the family, or at least for your dad and mom to get away together. Ever since this course was featured on a Tiger Woods video game, I have wanted to find this course and take a shot at the floating green! Give your father the gift of a lifetime by booking a round for him at the course and letting him try not to dunk a ball or two in the water that ominously surrounds the floating 14th green.
TPC Scottsdale
For this one, time the round within a week of the Waste Management Open to let your dad have a shot at the course while it is nearly in Tour setup and design. Even if you cannot pull that off, booking a tee time at this course and letting your dad have a shot at the Stadium Hole Par Three 16th will make his year and potentially his decade. Having a chance to play the finishing four holes at the Stadium Course at TPC Scottsdale is on almost every golfer’s bucket list.

Golf Bag and New Balls
For recommendations on golf balls, you can check the other two articles listed in this series (Golf Gifts for Dad under $50 and Golf Gifts for Dad under $100). However, pairing the new golf balls with a new golf bag will catapult you to the top of your dad’s favorite people list! Having a good-looking bag adds to a golfer’s Golf Cart Curb Appeal which is always something we are looking for. When you look good, you play good and our bag is part of looking good! Here is my favorite bag on Curated.
Ogio Fuse 4 Stand
This bag comes in a variety of colors and is nice and lightweight, making it the ideal bag for golfers who love to walk the course and get their steps in! This bag has numerous pockets that can help keep your balls, markers, pens, tees, and other equipment intelligently organized for quick access during the round.
Rangefinders
Golfers want to know exact distances to the pin, to the front and back of the greens, and to certain features on the course to know what they can hit it over or have to dodge. Guessing off of yardage books or sprinkler heads only works well for PGA Tour players and caddies, so why leave your dad to have to guess out there when he could be shooting lasers off of pins and bunkers to know how far away they are? Get the man a RangeFinder and listen to him regale you with stories of stiffed shots and bombed drives!
We also offer the option of a Curated gift card which can be used towards making a fishing purchase with free expert help finding the right gear for your fisherman's needs.
If you have any questions about anything that is listed above, come talk to me and I can help get you sorted out! If you want some other suggestions about clubs or accessories above, get connected with one of our experts who can help curate the best gift your dad has ever received!
Whatever you choose to buy him, he is sure to enjoy his next few rounds of golf knowing that he has new weapons in his arsenal or a new look to impress his golf squad.
