In the world of snowboarding, the 2024 YES. Basic Snowboard and the 2024 Lib Tech Terrain Wrecker Snowboard are two standout products that have been making waves. Both boards are designed to cater to a wide range of riders, from beginners to pros, and offer a host of features that make them a joy to ride. However, they each have their unique strengths and weaknesses. The YES. Basic Snowboard is a great beginner progression board that offers a comfortable and safe introduction to the sport. It's a do-it-all board that's perfect for those still figuring out their style. On the other hand, the Lib Tech Terrain Wrecker is a strong charging all-mountain board that's perfect for intermediate to advanced riders who want to explore the whole resort. It's a true all-mountain destroyer that can handle almost everything at the resort. In the end, the choice between the two will depend on your skill level, riding style, and personal preferences.

The 2024 YES. Basic Snowboard is a versatile board that's designed to cater to a wide range of riders. The brand claims this is a do-it-all board that can bring you all around the resort, from beginner to pro-style. It features a camber in between the feet and a rocker in the nose and tail, making it a great beginner progression board. The shape of the board is similar throughout the entire lineup of the Typo and the Greats, which means you can comfortably build up into their lineup and feel like you’re still at home with their profile.

The board is also equipped with an underbite that makes it super stable, catching an edge when it needs to engage it, but it doesn’t feel like it will trip you up. This makes it a great board for carving, freestyle, and freeride categories. However, it's worth noting that it's not meant to go high speed. If you want to step up, there are other boards like the Typo or the kind that have a little more high performance, snappy, pop, and a faster bass.

The YES. Basic Snowboard is a true twin board, so you can ride switch or regular without a problem. It’s not the snappiest and the poppiest, but it fits that mellow line of safely getting you into new conditions, trying new things, and having fun with it. It doesn’t feel like you’re really going to bang yourself up while riding on this board.

So this is the as basic it is as basic of the line as they come to really get you into the sport but has those extra features that yes is known for to really hook you into that Sport and build you all the way through your progression session.

Best seller

The 2024 Lib Tech Terrain Wrecker Snowboard is a go-anywhere, do-anything resort ripper. It features a directional shape, but it has a twin profile. It has a 6 ½ flex and C2X profile, which is camber, and a rocker in the middle. This makes it a strong charging all-mountain board that's easy to ride and fun all over the resort.

The board is really fun for carving, with the Magne Traction engaging the edge early. The little camber beneath the feet holds on a nice edge, making it really dialed in and locked in from the first run. It's really stable once the speed gets up, but it does feel a bit of chatter in uneven terrain and in the trees.

From a freestyle perspective, the Terrain Wrecker is really playful, obviously, with the twin profile. It's good for buttering, and it's really good for jumps. It felt really stable with the Magne Traction, getting it really deep on edge.

The Terrain Wrecker is a true all-mountain destroyer that will definitely take you all over the mountain. It's a great option for someone who just wants one board to ride the whole resort.

My overall impression of the Lib Tech Terrain Wrecker is that it’s a strong charging all-mountain board.
