Expert Reviews of the Ride C-6 Snowboard Bindings

The 2024 Ride C-6 is a highly versatile binding with a medium response and a 6/10 feel. The correlation between response and comfort reminds me a lot of the Burton Cartel. I always feel comfortable driving my toes or heels into a turn when I have the C-6 on my feet. This binding never feels too stiff, but it always feels responsive and ready for more. I love the colors of this binding, but I wish they matched the board lineup from Ride a little bit better. The composite tray helps reduce weight, while the aluminum heel cup adds stiffness and response where needed. I really love the Ride chassis system and how adjustable the platform is for boot sizes. I have never had another binding, other than Rides, that is more customizable. As someone with bigger feet, I always struggle with toe drag and heel drag, so I appreciate the ability to get the perfect-sized binding. The C-6 bindings feature a really comfortable toe strap that does an excellent job of stretching around the toe of my boot without creating any pressure points. The heel strap is also quite comfortable, and the tool-free adjustments make it easy to get the ideal amount of pressure. Overall, the Ride C-6 is a highly versatile weapon from the madmen over at Ride.
Pyawasay Gauthier The C-6 is a well-rounded solid binding that covers all terrain and styles. It can excel in all terrain due to its flex, durability, weight, and comfort. This binding is ideal for intermediate-advanced riders looking to enhance their style while maintaining control and response. These bindings provide flexibility yet still maintain proper response for advanced riding capabilities. This is made possible by the polycarbonate/aluminum chassis, which is made strong yet malleable. This construction also helps keep the weight light so that the board's overall weight isn't heavy due to a binding setup.

Pyawasay Gauthier gave 5 of 5 stars. The footbed of the Ride C-6 binding features EVA foam to help absorb and dampen vibrations and high-impact riding. Ride has also incorporated Slimewall highbacks to its bindings for vibration dampening, similar to its snowboard technology. The footbed also features a slight angle to help prepare the riders' ankles and knees for aggressive riding styles.

Depending on the day, I change my boots and often forget to adjust my straps before the lift line. The tool-free adjustment bails me out every single time.
Pyawasay Gauthier gave 5 of 5 stars. The Ride C-6 binding allows the rider to adjust the toe and heel straps without any additional tools so that they can fine-tune the feeling on the go. The only adjustment on the binding that requires a tool is the heel cup to adapt the boot size variations.

FAQs

What do you love about this product?

I really like the adjustability of the chassis system that Ride offers. I have bigger feet and have always struggled with toe overhang and heel drag. The ability to adjust the length of the binding so that it correlates to my boot sole length is great.

What was your favorite moment with this gear?

I have these bindings on the Ride Peace Seeker, and the first day was truly magical. The board and binding combination was so responsive. I felt like I was riding a rocket ship, and the C-6 binding really helped to ensure that my board was going where I wanted it. The response that I received out of the highback was just enough to inspire confidence and be comfortable.
Pyawasay Gauthier My favorite moment with these bindings would be my initial ride, being able to adjust the binding on the go without additional tools.

Why did you choose this product?

I have the Ride A-4 and C-4, but I wanted a slightly stiffer binding. I also really like the green and tan colors.
Pyawasay Gauthier I chose this binding because of its lightweight, durable design; it allows the rider to have a high-response binding without the weight of a bulky binding. The aluminum heel cup helps to provide a high response, and the polycarbonate base design provides a medium flex.

What is the value for the money versus other options?

The C-6 is approximately a $300 binding that packs a lot of value at that price point. The composite tray mixed with the aluminum heel cup makes for a damp ride with proper stiffness in the correct area. These have great value for a 6/10 flex for the binding.
