The Curated Take
4.3/5
The Line Blade Optic 92 Skis are ideal for skiers who want a playful, maneuverable all-mountain experience. They are lightweight, making them easy to turn, and have a stiff underfoot with soft, flexible tips for stability at high speeds and buttering at slower speeds. They excel on groomed slopes, with good edge hold and pop in the apex of turns and are surprisingly playful for their narrow width. However, they may struggle on icy terrain and in choppy snow. Overall, they are a versatile choice for skiers who enjoy a mix of groomed runs and occasional powder.

Expert Reviews of the Line Blade Optic 92 Skis
max pilling The Blade Optic 92 is the narrowest of the Line Blade Optic series. It is stiff underfoot but has playful and soft tips. It feels at home pivoting, slashing, and going sideways, and it feels excellent to carve when I get some snow with good traction. While it isn't ideal on ice, it has great pop in the apexes of turns, and because of the rocker, it feels pretty good for its width in soft snow. With a more centered position, it feels at home slashing and is balanced in the air. The ski is very maneuverable and does a great job zipping through trees and moguls. The Blade Optic 92 is an enjoyable narrow ski.

max pilling gave 5 of 5 stars. The Blade Optic 92s are easy to turn due to their lightweight. They are very easy to maneuver. Softer tips help get the skis over, while lightweightness makes it easy to swing around from side to side. They also get on edge very easily.
Playfulness
5/5
max pilling gave 5 of 5 stars. The skis are playful for being narrow. Stiff underfoot but very flexible in the tips. This helps me to have stability at faster speeds while still being able to butter my way around at slower speeds. The skis are easy to get sideways and don't always need to be on edge.
Durability
3/5
max pilling gave 3 of 5 stars. Light tips and tails lead to delamination issues in the ski. The tips are particularly vulnerable to cracking and delamination, and the change from stiff to flexible in the tips creates a hinge point where the ski is more vulnerable to snapping.
High Speed Stability
4/5
max pilling gave 4 of 5 stars. These do great on smooth groomers but can get thrown around when trying to go super fast on bumpy or rough terrain. Carbon stringers and a bit of metal help these to be very stable, and they hold an edge well if I'm not on ice.
Carving
4/5
max pilling gave 4 of 5 stars. They offer a fun way to ski groomers. I can go from on edge to smearing out and spinning. They are good at carving and have lots of power, making the apex of a turn fun to hop from turn to turn. They're easy to get on edge and hold an edge well.
Versatility
5/5
max pilling gave 5 of 5 stars. I can ski just about everything, even some powder occasionally. Because they hold an edge well but also have some rocker, they are good just about everywhere. While not a powder ski, these are pretty good for how narrow they are. They do well in low tide when off the groomers as well.
Flotation
4/5
max pilling gave 4 of 5 stars. While not a powder ski, the rocker helps it to stay afloat. One could comfortably ski these in about half a foot of powder. Soft tips and being lightweight help get these skis up in deeper and softer snow.
