The Curated Take

4.3/5

The Burton Blossom Snowboard is ideal for park riders looking to advance their skills or all-mountain riders who spend a lot of time in the park. Its slightly stiffer flex and camber-dominant profile provide excellent stability, pop, and power, making it great for hard-charging park riding. Although not the best in powder and unsuitable for beginners, it's a true twin all-mountain park board that excels in the park but can handle any terrain. It's durable, stable at high speeds, and offers good edge hold for carving. The Blossom is great for more experienced riders seeking a versatile, high-performance board.

Expert Reviews of the Burton Blossom Snowboard

The Burton Blossom is a beast. With a slightly stiffer flex and camber-dominant profile, this board really tears all terrains up. The board can really ride the entire mountain with no problems but really excels in the park. There is so much pop and power, which helps with control and hard-charging park riding. The camber section gives all the pop needed and stability for larger jumps and features that help me feel comfortable pushing my limits. I can take this board all over the mountain and see what it is all about. There are no problems with how it holds an edge and plows through different terrains. It's a true twin all-mountain park board that can really ride it all but feels at home in the park.

Review Ratings

Turn Ease

4/5
gave 4 of 5 stars. With this board being on the stiffer side, it may feel a bit challenging for the riders who are new to snowboarding and trying to get their skills down. For the riders who have been doing this for a while, they would have no trouble controlling the board. I have no problem getting edge to edge and making smooth, effortless turns.

Playfulness

4/5
gave 4 of 5 stars. With this all-mountain park board being slightly stiffer than the middle of the road for flex, it has no problem feeling playful. With more advanced boards like the Blossom, it's expected to get a little more power from the board. This requires a little more force to get it going, but it is nothing a more experienced rider couldn't handle. It just takes a little more, but it will have plenty of playfulness.

Durability

5/5
gave 5 of 5 stars. The Blossom board excels in performance and durability. I have bashed this board on rails, landed flat on jumps, and ripped it through natural terrain with no trouble. The strong topsheet and base really give me the confidence to push the board all over the mountain. With its reinforced edge and the quality of materials in the board, I have had zero problems with durability.

High Speed Stability

4/5
gave 4 of 5 stars. At high speeds, I feel good and comfortable. With the stiffer flex and camber-dominant profile, I can push this board at high speeds and feel confident that it won't give out or lose stability. This board wants to go fast with the higher-quality sintered base, making it a treat to ride.

Carving

4/5
gave 4 of 5 stars. The Blossom easily holds an edge with a camber-dominant profile and stiffer flex. It is easy to get edge to edge and can handle all types of terrain with ease. While this board may not be as easy to get edge to edge as a rocker-style board, it's just a bit more advanced and locks in.

Versatility

5/5
gave 5 of 5 stars. While this is considered an all-mountain park board, it still has no problems all over the mountain. All-mountain boards are built to be versatile and do it all, but I can go park to powder when riding this. I have no problem with powder, stacked up snow, getting in the trees, and venturing into the park.

Flotation

4/5
gave 4 of 5 stars. I can slide the bindings back with any board, keeping the weight in the back end, making for better flotation and effortless turns. While this board may not be the top choice for most riders in powder, it had no problems after I adjusted my bindings to give me more of a direction style set up with a longer nose than tail. After doing this, the board does fine in the deeper snow.

FAQs

What do you love about this product?

I love the way this board handles all over the mountain, specifically in the park. This board is very stable without feeling super stiff and generates so much pop and power.

What was your favorite moment with this gear?

When I got on this board and tried it in the park, I was blown away by how well it handled and took on every feature easily. It gave me so much confidence to send bigger features and not worry about sending a jump long and landing flat. It really gave me so much stability all over the mountain.

Why did you choose this product?

I chose this product because it's listed as an all-mountain park board but seems to be a fan favorite for more advanced park riding. I wanted something I could do it all on, but I also wanted a board that could excel in the park to push my limits.

What is the value for the money versus other options?

Compared to similar options, this board's price-to-value ratio really stands out. Its high-quality materials really make it stand out in the hard-charging freestyle department. While it is a little pricey, the rider is paying for what they want: a high-quality park board that can ride the whole mountain.
