The Curated Take
4.0/5
The Cobra LTDx Driver is suitable for golfers of any skill level seeking forgiveness and consistent ball flight. It features a H.O.T. face design, multi-material construction, and low profile forward positioned weighting for long and forgiving drives. While it offers a ton of distance and consistent results, it is not very workable for those looking to draw or fade their shots. The driver's milled face design provides a solid feel, although feedback from mishits may be less responsive. Overall, the Cobra LTDx is a great option for golfers prioritizing forgiveness and straight ball flight, with the added benefit of maintaining maximum distance potential.

Expert Reviews of the Cobra LTDx Driver
Zack Caudill The Cobra LTDx is an excellent option for a vast array of golfers. Rather than narrowing it down to simply a target handicap group, with the LTDx, Cobra has built a driver for golfers of any skill level looking for a ton of forgiveness, more consistent ball speed, distance, and better dispersion. In the H.O.T. face design (Highly Optimized Topology), multi-material construction, and low profile forward positioned weighting, Cobra has built a wonderfully long and forgiving golf club. When a golfer prioritizes forgiveness, a sacrifice to total distance is usually the accepted result; however, with the Cobra LTDx, the capability of reaching one's maximum distance is very much on the table. The Cobra LTDx is a great option for golfers of almost any skill level.

Forgiveness
5/5
Zack Caudill gave 5 of 5 stars. While the Cobra LTD series of drivers includes a forgiving model in the Cobra LTD Max, I have found the Cobra LTDx to be truly one of the most forgiving drivers I have ever used. Though not necessarily advertised as a very forgiving driver, the Cobra LTDx proves to be just that while offering a ton of distance and a very consistent result swing after swing.
Feel
3/5
Zack Caudill gave 3 of 5 stars. The Cobra LTDx comes with a milled face design. Coming from the layered carbon face offered in the TaylorMade Stealth series that provided an outstanding overall feel, the milled face from Cobra has been a bit less responsive regarding the feedback I get from mishits on the face. It is a good but not great performance in the feel department to me.
Workability
3/5
Zack Caudill gave 3 of 5 stars. This Cobra LTDx is pretty accurate, with a consistently straight ball flight when struck well. However, golfers looking to work a draw or fade with this driver may be disappointed. The driver is exceptionally straight, which has been outstanding for my game, but it may not fit golfers who like to work the ball from the tee box.
Distance
5/5
Zack Caudill gave 5 of 5 stars. After gaming the TaylorMade Stealth Plus 2, which provided all the distance I could handle but none of the forgiveness, I wanted a driver to help me with my mishits without punting on distance. Thankfully, the Cobra LTDx does just that. With a multi-material construction in a low center of gravity design, the LTDx offers a low spinning strike that provides a ton of distance in a user-friendly construction.
Sound
4/5
Zack Caudill gave 4 of 5 stars. The ideal driver sound really comes down to personal preference. Since the Cobra LTDx driver has a fully milled face, the sound is fairly consistent across the entire face of the driver. A powerful "pow" can be heard from center strikes and with a similar result from even heel and toe mishits.
FAQs
What do you love about this product?
Zack Caudill The Cobra LTDx was constructed with a lower center of gravity and weight distributed primarily forward to the face of the club, which promotes a lower spin and much more consistent results as far as forgiveness, distance, and dispersion are concerned.
Why did you choose this product?
Zack Caudill My first experience with the Cobra LTD series came in the form of the LTD LS (low spin) model. Having played the TaylorMade Stealth Plus 2 driver for a long time, I assumed my ideal fit in the LTD line would be Cobra's LS model. After a few rounds with the Cobra LTD LS, I quickly realized my game was not a match for it. I switched to the Cobra LTDx and immediately found it a great match for my swing, offering drastically more accuracy and the forgiveness and consistency I was looking for in a driver.
What is the value for the money versus other options?
Zack Caudill Having bounced around from the Ping G425 MAX to the TaylorMade Stealth Plus 2, both of which come in with an initial MSRP of $150 to $200 greater than the Cobra LTDx, I've found that the Cobra LTDx offers the forgiveness I was after while gaming the G425 and the distance I was after with the TaylorMade Stealth Plus 2. The G425 was a great example of how drastic the loss of distance can be when one plays a max forgiveness driver, and the Stealth Plus 2 was an excellent example of the forgiveness that is sacrificed in a low spin max distance model. The Cobra LTDx provides the forgiveness and distance I desire at a much more reasonable price. This makes the Cobra LTDx an outstanding value for the quality it offers.
