With a low swingweight and a 92mm waist, these skis offer effortless turning and good flotation in soft snow, making them ideal for all-mountain skiing. They excel in conditions ranging from firm to slushy and are particularly fun in bumps and trees. Expert Reviews of the Salomon QST 92 Skis
Daniela A I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this ski when I took it out. It was a spring-like day in early February, with temperatures hovering around 40 and the sun peaking out. The ski did great in the morning when conditions were more firm. It held an edge better than expected and felt stable at moderate speeds. As the day continued, and the snow became soft, slushy, and bumpy, the QST handled really well. I could ski over bumps and snow piles. And while it didn't blast through the crud, it floated above in a stable/consistent way. I found this ski to be really easy to turn and maneuver and just a ton of fun. It would be great for a progressing intermediate to someone advanced who wants a quicker turning ski.

Review Ratings
Turn Ease
5/5
Daniela A gave 5 of 5 stars. The Salomon QST 92 is one of the most effortless skis I've tried when it comes to turn ease and turning ability. It has such a low swingweight and feels really maneuverable and automatic. It is very easy to release the tail edge and make different turn shapes and styles.
Playfulness
5/5
Daniela A gave 5 of 5 stars. The QST 92 is very playful and versatile. I'm not a park skier by any means, but this ski made me want to ski switch, take small jumps off side hits, get in the woods, and play around in the bumps. It's a great mix of good performance with a freeride feel.
Durability
5/5
Daniela A gave 5 of 5 stars. The Salomon QST 92 is a durable, high-quality ski. It's a great, well-constructed product, especially for the price. The topsheet durability is impressive, especially considering I skied on demo skis taken out by a variety of skiers, and at both mountains, the skis looked brand new.
High Speed Stability
3/5
Daniela A gave 3 of 5 stars. I would say that the Salomon QST 92 performs really well at moderately quick speeds. It feels smooth, stable, and consistent. When I tried to push it to higher speeds, I noticed it did get a little chattery and wasn't comfortable skiing at those high speeds. If someone is looking for a ski that is more comfortable and confident at higher speeds, then look to the Salomon Stance (which is also a ski I love!).
Carving
4/5
Daniela A gave 4 of 5 stars. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the Salomon QST 92 carved. While it is not known for carving performance, it had a great edge grip and did well on the hardpack/firm snow, in some ice, and soft slushy snow. I found it to be grippy and energetic coming out of the turns, and while it did get a bit chattery when trying to push it to higher edge angles and speeds, it did great at those moderately quick speeds.
Versatility
5/5
Daniela A gave 5 of 5 stars. The Salomon QST 92 is a ski that can do a bit of everything decently well. It's a very versatile ski and a great all-mountain option for a lot of skiers. Intermediates will find this ski accessible and confidence-inspiring, while advanced skiers who want something a bit less demanding for their daily driver can access its high-performance capabilities.
Flotation
4/5
Daniela A gave 4 of 5 stars. The Salomon QST 92 won't be a ski to reach for on deep pow days, but at a 92mm waist width, it did surprisingly well in off-piste and soft snow conditions. It floated really well on the soft snow off the side of the trail and did great in spring-like conditions. The QST was fun in the bumps and nimble and agile in the trees.
FAQs
What do you love about this product?
Daniela A The QST 92 feels like an effortless ski. I click into the bindings and go without much thought. I'm confident they can handle most conditions well.
What was your favorite moment with this gear?
Daniela A I took these skis out on an unseasonably warm February day and didn't have too high of expectations. In the morning, the snow was firmer, and I was shocked by how well these held an edge and felt stable at speed. While there are skis capable of higher speeds, I had a blast with the QST and was surprised with how smooth they felt. Later on in the day, when the snow got more slushy and bumped out, these continued to perform well.
