Expert Reviews of the Marker F10 Small Tour Ski Bindings
Riley Weathers The Marker Tour 10 is a great binding for anyone looking to get into Alpine touring or backcountry skiing without purchasing a whole new setup. The frame design and adjustable toe height allow almost any boot sole to fit into this binding. They can be mounted to most flat skis, making it a cost-effective way to get out of the crowds and hiking by oneself. The release for hike mode is underfoot, so skiers can feel confident that their heel will not pre-release. It also allows the frame to "float" on the rear track, so it has a great flex pattern compared to other frame bindings. Marker bindings are also built with a twin cam toe piece, so skiers get a safe, constant release from the toe to help prevent injury. Tour 10 is great for an entry-level, lighter-weight skier looking for their first hiking setup.

Review Ratings
Release Reliability
5/5
Riley Weathers gave 5 of 5 stars. The Tour 10 is a frame binding, so it is basically a regular Alpine binding on a touring platform. That means skiers get all the tech that Marker puts into their bindings: a twin cam toe piece for consistent retention and release and a metal sliding AFD (anti-friction device), so if ice builds up under skiers' boots, they still release when needed. The full heel gives great downward force for minimal energy loss from the boot to the ski.
Durability
5/5
Riley Weathers gave 5 of 5 stars. For the Tour 10, which is just about a traditional Alpine binding on a touring frame platform, Marker gives this binding plenty of material to take a beating. It's not shaved down like so many other touring bindings, so skiers can feel totally comfortable skiing with it as an everyday binding that they can also tour with.
Versatility
4/5
Riley Weathers gave 4 of 5 stars. It is such a relief to have a binding that I can rely on every day, no matter what I'm doing. They are easy to step into and durable enough to withstand the abuse of the lift line. The Tour 10 is a great entry into the touring world without giving up the safety and performance of an Alpine binding.
Power Transfer
4/5
Riley Weathers gave 4 of 5 stars. The Marker frame platform is one of the best on the market for energy and power transfer to the ski. The frame has a plate on the rear and can flex slightly along it. I'm a little higher off the ski to accommodate that plate, though.
FAQs
What was your favorite moment with this gear?
Riley Weathers My favorite tour with the Marker Tour 10 was skiing with my kids at my local hill (Snowbowl) in the spring. I skinned up in the ski area while it was closed, pulling my kids in a sled behind me. When we got to the top and I transitioned into ski mode, I felt very secure with the full toe and heel for the ski down.
Why did you choose this product?
Riley Weathers I chose the Marker Tour 10 because it works with just about any ski boot out there. I can step into it with my regular Alpine boot and my lightweight touring boots. It's an inexpensive way to get into ski touring.
What is the value for the money versus other options?
Riley Weathers The Marker Tour 10 is a great value. It is a competitively priced Alpine touring binding and will mount on almost any flat ski and work with most ski boots. Therefore, skiers don't have to go out and buy a new setup to get into Alpine touring.
