Review Ratings

Heel Hold

4/5
Pyawasay Gauthier gave 4 of 5 stars. ThirtyTwo provides a system to help prevent heel lift while maintaining lightweight technology. The size-variable foam disks slide into the liner's sides and help hold my ankle in place. This allows me to adjust the size myself and find the right comfort out of the heel hold kit.

Weight

5/5
Pyawasay Gauthier gave 5 of 5 stars. I have always valued the weight of the ThirtyTwo Lashed. They provide a rubber and foam mixture for their outsole so that there is grip on the snow but still helps to dampen the vibrations and high impacts. With providing the double BOA option, they are even lighter with the upgraded slim BOA coilers.

Waterproofing

5/5
Pyawasay Gauthier gave 5 of 5 stars. The Lashed Double BOA provides a comfortable and dry feeling without sacrificing weight or unnecessary technology in the boot's shell. The shell is supported with an articulated cuff to prevent further wear from flexing. Additionally, the toe cap of the shell is molded to provide a sturdier feel to prevent distortion or weathering. All of these features help provide a dry and comfortable feel for an all-day snowboarding experience.

Grip

5/5
Pyawasay Gauthier gave 5 of 5 stars. The grip of the new age Lashed has been upgraded with a performance rubber outsole mixed with EVA foam to provide a comfortable yet grippy sole. This sole will not only give the rider grip when walking through the base area but also hold up through the terrain by helping to dampen any vibrations or high impacts thrown at the rider.

Durability

5/5
Pyawasay Gauthier gave 5 of 5 stars. The Lashed Double BOA helps provide durability in a few different ways without sacrificing weight or flexibility. First, the articulated cuff helps prevent the shell from bending in unnecessary areas that would lead to breakage. Next, the upgraded back strap of the shell provides more support with the posterior flex of the boot.

Comfort

5/5
Pyawasay Gauthier gave 5 of 5 stars. The ThirtyTwo Lashed double BOA provides comfort all around, with a very short break-in period and a medium flex rating. This boot provides comfort to the rider with the heat-moldable liner that has intuition foam technology, aided by the double BOA system, which allows for independent tightening of each zone. This allows the rider to get the right tightening out of the boot each time they ride.

Shock Absorption

5/5
Pyawasay Gauthier gave 5 of 5 stars. The Lashed's outsole is outmatched. It is a combination of rubber and EVA foam to help absorb vibration and high impacts without adding unnecessary weight. The outsole, paired with the intuition foam liner, helps provide the rider with comfort and support for any terrain on the mountain.

Responsiveness

3/5
Pyawasay Gauthier gave 3 of 5 stars. The Lashed is a 6/10 for flex but does break in just a little softer than that. Over time, this boot can become relatively soft, resulting in the rider having to tighten the boot more to help hold the response. The boot's structure is stronger, helping to hold the response, but the boot is a little softer than the rating.

Ease of Use

5/5
Pyawasay Gauthier gave 5 of 5 stars. The double BOA system makes it easier for the rider to get on and off the mountain. This time-efficient system also helps to provide a more direct and secure fit of the boot. The BOA coilers allow the rider to keep the boot and its independent zones at their own tightness to maximize comfort.

Versatility

5/5
Pyawasay Gauthier gave 5 of 5 stars. The Lashed can be used in many forms of terrain due to the stable double BOA coilers. The boot can feature anything from a soft flex to a stiff flex, made possible by the rider's input to the tightening system. If the rider prefers a softer boot, the BOA coilers shouldn't be tightened much past snug. The tighter the BOA cords are on the boot, the stiffer the boot may feel.

FAQs

What do you love about this product?

Pyawasay Gauthier The ThirtyTwo Lashed Double BOA is a great versatile, comfortable boot. The double BOA features are easy to use and time-efficient, making it easier to get on or off the mountain comfortably with no pinch in the tightening. The heat-moldable liner helps comfort my feet, and when paired with a mix of rubber and foam outsole, it offers ideal comfort.

Why did you choose this product?

Pyawasay Gauthier I chose this boot to give it a shot. I have had many pairs of ThirtyTwo Lashed boots over the years but never tried the double BOA feature. I've always been skeptical of BOA, but this boot has changed my perspective. Most BOA systems require additional tightening after a few runs. Still, this boot has stayed true to the tightness set before riding and allows for more dialed-in tightening because of the independent top and bottom BOA zones.
