4.6/5
The K2 Mindbender 106C Women's Skis are great for advanced skiers seeking a versatile, stable, and playful ride. These light and energetic skis excel in various terrains and conditions, making them ideal for those looking for a one-ski quiver. With a quick turn radius and rocker tip and tail, they perform exceptionally well off-piste in moguls, trees, and bowls, while also capable of ripping carves on groomers. These skis are not recommended for freestyle or beginner skiers but are highly praised for their durability and overall performance.

Expert Reviews of the K2 Mindbender 106C W Skis
Leo Cocchiara The K2 Mindbender 106C is a euphoria-inducing pair of skis for advanced skiers looking for something that’s light, energetic, stable, playful, carvable, floaty, and a whole lot more. It’s just supremely well-rounded for a wide range of terrains and conditions, making it a great option for the person who only wants one pair of skis or needs to pick one pair of skis out of the quiver for their next trip. The triaxial carbon cross-hatching throughout the ski gives it impressive stiffness and stability for a ski that is still light and energetic. The all-mountain shape has a quick turn radius and just enough rocker tip and tail to make it exceptionally well performing off-piste in moguls, trees, and bowls, and can rip carves on the groomers. Overall, it’s one of my top picks and most highly rated skis in the 100-110 category.

Turn Ease
4/5
Leo Cocchiara gave 4 of 5 stars. The K2 Mindbender 106C is easier to turn than someone would expect for a ski that's this wide underfoot, but it's a common misconception that holds people back from getting into this ski class. The rocker profile and quick radius of this ski play well for quick and confident turns that even high-level intermediates can access. That fear of difficult turn causes people to miss out on the versatility, especially in powder, that a ski like this can offer.
Playfulness
4/5
Leo Cocchiara gave 4 of 5 stars. When we talk about playfulness in skiing, it often boils down to a willingness to deviate from the norm, such as by smearing turns, flexing deeply into the tips and tails, and throwing in some freestyle maneuvers. The K2 Mindbender isn't intended to be a freestyle ski by any means, but for a mid-fat directional freeride-oriented ski, it's got a playful personality that allows us to unlock our creativity on the way down the mountain.
Durability
5/5
Leo Cocchiara gave 5 of 5 stars. What good is an expert-level ski if it's not going to withstand aggressive skiing in variable environments? That's not something skiers will need to worry about with the Mindbenders because K2's construction on these will stand up to hard use and abuse. We know it because we've put them to the test as hard as we've dared to push them, and they've withstood the hucks, scraps, and stomps that all our favorite double blacks could offer.
Carving
4/5
Leo Cocchiara gave 4 of 5 stars. I love having a quiver of skis to choose from. When one's a deep gear nerd, the pleasure is in picking up on the small differences that make different skis shine in different disciplines. I'd rather have many skis that do many things well rather than one ski that does it all decently. But the Mindbender 106C has me singing a different tune, especially when I need to pick one ski for vacation.
High Speed Stability
5/5
Leo Cocchiara gave 5 of 5 stars. Ski construction is all about balance. When we're talking about a ski like the K2 Mindbender 106c, we're looking at a ski that's designed to handle all terrains and all conditions, including groomers, but more focused on excelling in the challenging off-piste terrain like moguls, trees, and back bowls where we still need a lot of stability. So this ski a really treat for those of us who prefer to spend our time in those places but also want to excel on the front side.
Versatility
5/5
Leo Cocchiara gave 5 of 5 stars. This ski is designed to handle all terrains and all conditions, including groomers, but is more focused on excelling in challenging off-piste terrain like moguls, trees, powder, and back bowls. It's also versatile for a wide range of skiers, from high-level intermediates all the way to experts.
Flotation
5/5
Leo Cocchiara gave 5 of 5 stars. Is there anything better in skiing than on a powder day? It doesn't matter if it's light, soft, and fluffy or dumping heavy, wet snow. When the snow stake starts to pile up, it's time to break out the fat skis and get after the most challenging lines on the mountains, and this is a great ski to pick for that. The K2 Mindbender 106C absolutely sings on a good powder day.
FAQs
What do you love about this product?
Leo Cocchiara I love how versatile this ski is. No matter what the conditions are or the terrain, it's just a great all-around ride.
What is the value for the money versus other options?
Leo Cocchiara There are very few skis out there that are as well-balanced as these without being too washy in the tails or too stiff and demanding. It really fills a niche in its category.
