The Curated Take

4.0/5

The Jones Tweaker Snowboard is ideal for riders seeking a versatile, forgiving, and stable board for freestyle and all-mountain riding. Its symmetrical design and continuous rockered nose make it effortless to butter and play around, while the stiffened nose and tail offer control for tricks and high-speed runs. A strong sintered base and impact-resistant tips enhance the board's durability. While it may lack some pop and can be shaky at high speeds, its versatility and forgiving nature make it a great choice for riders exploring various terrain and looking for a playful ride.

Expert Reviews of the Jones Tweaker Snowboard

Leonid Cha The Tweaker is special because it's Jones's first-ever true twin-tip board! The nose and tail widths, inserts, and flex are all symmetrical. If riders accidentally catch their back edge while riding, they can simply rotate the board 180° and keep going. I really enjoyed using the Tweaker last spring, especially because of its unique bend. Its continuous rockered nose allows riders to effortlessly butter and play around without worrying about catching edges. Snowboard brands like Bataleon and Lib Tech have also created somewhat similar designs for their models. But what really sets the Tweaker apart is its innovative flex pattern. While the overall deck flexibility is quite forgiving, its nose and tail stiffen upon bending, which is ideal for landing tricks and maintaining control during high-speed runs. Once riders get moving, the edging performance becomes incredibly stable, giving them confidence and precision for whatever terrain lies ahead. Jumps, carving, rail slides, and presses are all within reach with the Tweaker. This board features a top-of-the-line sintered base material. Also, riders won't worry about breaking it near those pointed tips. They're designed to withstand impacts. It's a cool board that can do everything while being quite unique.

Review Ratings

Turn Ease

4/5
Leonid Cha gave 4 of 5 stars. It helps me twist and twirl easily, especially when making cool moves at the park. With its neat shape and strong tip and tail areas, it lets me slide and flip without much trouble. Making fast changes during turns or starting up new ones is super simple. It guides me smoothly from side to side. No matter what I'm doing. But there's a drawback. It can shake a little bit when doing high-speed carving. Noise and chatter distracted me a lot.

Playfulness

5/5
Leonid Cha gave 5 of 5 stars. Its shape and flexibility let me do flips, slides, and all sorts of tricks with such ease. Even the way the front part bends adds to the excitement, just like the Lib Tech Banana. The board's symmetrical shape, soft middle, and stiff nose and tail create a great base for freestyle. Easy, fast, and wild tricks can be done with this board. It's not the best freestyle board, but it can do almost everything quite well while doing flips on it.

Durability

4/5
Leonid Cha gave 4 of 5 stars. I did really well on my tests. The board is strong and lasts long, especially the corners and edges. Even though the top part might come off sometimes, it still does great most of the time. The board was used aggressively in rental for about a year. The bottom sintered base is one of the best ones Jones has. But, if someone crashes into it too hard, there could be problems that they can't fix.

High Speed Stability

3/5
Leonid Cha gave 3 of 5 stars. During testing, it was really good on the smooth parts of the mountain, but it got shaky when I went pretty fast. That might be because the middle part is kind of soft, so it bends easily for doing tricks but isn't as steady for going fast. If someone loves zooming down hills, this might not be the best pick since other boards by Jones are way sturdier.

Carving

4/5
Leonid Cha gave 4 of 5 stars. I really like the way the Tweaker carves. It has a cool shape and flex balance, making turning so much fun. This snowboard is great at holding its edge while going fast on groomed runs and also good at doing quick sharp turns. The front and back parts are sturdy which helps me feel stable and in control when I make big carve moves.

Versatility

5/5
Leonid Cha gave 5 of 5 stars. It's really good on many types of snow and ways to ride. I like how it has a similar shape and firmness everywhere. It made it easy for me to turn and do tricks while testing. When I wanted to try new things in the park, the soft middle helped me move smoothly. And when I went fast, the sturdy front and back parts kept me steady.

Flotation

3/5
Leonid Cha gave 3 of 5 stars. It does okay in deeper snow, but it could be better. Jones designed it mostly for doing tricks and being flexible, so it works fine in soft snow, too. It's still fun to ride the Tweaker on lighter powder days, yet it might not be the best option for very deep snow trips. For the price and tech, I think it's fair.

FAQs

Why did you choose this product?

Leonid Cha I picked the Jones Tweaker since it looked super neat and freestyle-oriented. After Aviator and Victor de Le Rue's influence on the board, I wanted to see if there was something that this board inherited from it.

What do you love about this product?

Leonid Cha I love that even though the whole board feels soft, the nose and tail are sturdy. That makes it so forgiving and "freestyle-able."
