The binding is compatible with a wide range of boot soles and lengths, offering easy adjustment and versatility. Expert Reviews of the Marker Griffon 13 D Ski Bindings
Ben Cavett The Marker Griffin 13 D is a solid binding for an aggressive skier. The binding can be easily adjusted to fit pretty much any boot length and sole type. The binding sits slightly higher and way higher than the base model binding but doesn’t offer the ability to change the mounting position or give the added leverage gained by having the boot mounted higher. The binding allows for plenty of elasticity, allowing the boot to be suspended without an unwanted eject. The toe piece has a rail on top to make brushing snow off a ski boot easier.

Review Ratings
Release Reliability
4/5
Ben Cavett gave 4 of 5 stars. The Marker Griffon binding is one of the few Alpine bindings that have a smooth release in a crash and do not pre-release when charging crud. I find the demo binding version to be even more planted due to a wider drill pattern and better leverage due to the boot sitting higher.
Durability
3/5
Ben Cavett gave 3 of 5 stars. The weight-to-durability ratio of this binding is great, and that is why I like it on freestyle skis. Although I have had heavier, more aggressive skiing friends destroy a couple of pairs due to the toe piece being plastic. I have also experienced the binding creating weird wear patterns where it meets with my boot.
Versatility
4/5
Ben Cavett gave 4 of 5 stars. Marker bindings with ID are compatible with a range of boot soles, including GripWalk, Walk to Ride, Touring, and standard Alpine. The binding is also easily adjustable to any boot sole length, meaning it is a good option for someone with multiple boots or looking to share the ski with others.
Power Transfer
4/5
Ben Cavett gave 4 of 5 stars. One of the advantages of the demo binding other than adjustability is that the boot sits slightly higher above the ski, giving the skier more leverage and control, especially for firm snow. Another advantage it the screw drilling pattern is a bit longer, making the underfoot of the ski firmer and increasing grip.
