The Curated Take
4.6/5
The K2 Mini Turbo Snowboard Boots are ideal for young children learning to snowboard. They feature a removable liner for growth, a BOA system for easy adjustment, and appealing lights. The boots offer excellent grip, waterproofing, and durability. They are comfortable, easy for children to put on, and forgiving for learning. While not designed for big air, they provide adequate shock absorption for beginners. The boots are versatile for various mountain terrains and offer good value for the money, especially for kids who prefer BOA closures over Velcro.

Expert Reviews of the K2 Mini Turbo Snowboard Boots
Taylor H We got these for our 3-year-old. We chose these because of the removable liner that allows the boots to grow with our kid. They also have a BOA for super easy (and fun) ins and outs for the kiddos. These boots light up to keep the little ones interested, too! They also have a designated loop for a leash hook. I recommend these to any little one starting on the slopes this year.

Heel Hold
5/5
Taylor H gave 5 of 5 stars. It's hard to gauge this with a toddler, but we found that he could go too far onto his tiptoes with other boots, sliding his calves up. With the BOA system on these boots, he can adjust them where he feels the most comfortable, not too tight, while still being secure.

Taylor H gave 3 of 5 stars. These boots are definitely not the lightest on the market, but they aren't so clunky my 3-year-old struggles to walk. They feel very durable without weighing him down too much. K2 did a great job maintaining durability and support without making the boot too heavy; they did not skimp on materials.
Waterproofing
5/5
Taylor H gave 5 of 5 stars. We love being able to pull a dry sock out of a boot! Even with slushier warm days this year, I have not seen any issues with these boots allowing moisture to leak or seep in. His feet stayed warm and dry even trudging around a hike park to watch others.
Grip
5/5
Taylor H gave 5 of 5 stars. The soles on these boots are super knobby. The little kids struggle enough walking in these boots, so it's super important. Even on slick, icy ground, we've had no surprises. The boots also work great to grip the board, teaching him to skate around. The lights on the midsole are another great feature.
Durability
5/5
Taylor H gave 5 of 5 stars. The BOA on the boots is the same high quality we'd find anywhere else. The outer boots are tough and waterproof, even tolerating a toddler beating them up. Scuffing is minimal even after nearly a season. The strap loop is very secure, leaving us no fear of losing it.
Comfort
5/5
Taylor H gave 5 of 5 stars. My little one loves these boots, even over his normal snow boots. They have a removable liner to increase size flexibility, which is remarkable for how fast these littles grow. The BOA dial is great for getting them involved in getting ready. They can stop when it feels the best for them!
Shock Absorption
3/5
Taylor H gave 3 of 5 stars. These are not designed for big air; they are boots for children. They have a softer flex, so they won't be the best for absorbing shock, but they are more than enough for the littles. It is a good balance for the kiddos to learn and expand their skills without discomfort.
Responsiveness
5/5
Taylor H gave 5 of 5 stars. These boots are not too stiff. They will be very forgiving for little kiddos learning to shred. Due to being on the softer end, smaller movements won't transfer to the board as much. They are an ideal balance to learn to mountain on. They are super comfortable but enough to get comfortable learning to expand their skills.
Ease of Use
5/5
Taylor H gave 5 of 5 stars. One of my absolute favorite parts of these boots is that the little ones can learn to put them on themselves. Even as they grow into the upper end of the size range, the BOA system makes it so easy for them to learn to get themselves all geared up.
Versatility
5/5
Taylor H gave 5 of 5 stars. These are a great option for any kid on the mountain, from the baby runs to advancing their skills. Kids just starting will love getting these on, and kids growing their skills will love the style and the lights. These are great for littles who need something extra to keep their interest.
