Callaway

Callaway is one of the global leaders in producing golf balls and one of the game’s biggest club manufacturers. Based in Carlsbad, California, Callaway was founded in 1982. They are best known for their Big Bertha drivers, which innovated the way golf companies designed their drivers, ushering in the big head era. Callaway produces some of the most recognized golf products, including the Mavrik irons, Odyssey putters, and Travis Mathew apparel which features some of the most stylish polo shirts for on and off the golf course. As one of the most innovative and respected brands in the game, many of the world’s leading players such as Xander Schauffele and Jon Rahm use Callaway gear.

Cleveland

Cleveland Golf is synonymous with wedges, designed by Roger Cleveland. The Huntington Beach, California company has been producing the game’s best performing and most used short game wedges since 1979. Cleveland has dominated the industry in innovating and engineering wedges for golfers with low handicaps to high handicaps. While other brands have deep putter or iron options, the lineup of Cleveland’s wedges is extensive, as they have different grinds and models for different situations while offering exceptional spin, control, and forgiveness. Beyond wedges, Cleveland also makes high-quality hybrids, drivers, and irons. Cleveland wedges are seen in the bag of many Tour pros like Hideki Matsuyama, Keegan Bradley, Graeme McDowell, and Shane Lowry.

Cobra

Cobra Golf, best known for its King Cobra line of irons and drivers, has been producing some of the industry’s best golf clubs and equipment since 1973. The Puma-owned, Carlsbad, California-based golf company, changed the game when they introduced their King Cobra irons which had an oversized face, making it an easier and more forgiving club for amateur golfers in particular. Each year, Cobra’s lineup is ranked as one of the best options available for golfers of any handicap because of its deep product lineup. Cobra golf is used by Rickie Fowler, Jason Dufner, Bryson DeChambeau, and Lexi Thompson.

Mizuno

The Japanese company brought its golf game to the United States in 1982 and has a strong reputation for producing some of the best irons in the game. Not as big as some of the other brands, Mizuno’s forged blade irons are the premium, top-of-the-line golf irons. Tiger Woods won his first Masters Tournament in 1997 using Mizuno clubs.

Odyssey

Odyssey, purchased by Callaway in 1997, produces the #1 putter in golf and it’s not even close! The only product they manufacture is putters so the engineers at Odyssey are solely focused on innovating and designing new and better performing putters than the year before. They are most known for their White Hot OG putter line but offer an extensive lineup of mallet and blade putters for golfers of every age, gender, height, and playability. Players like Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele, Phil Mickelson, and over 50 other Tour players all stand over the ball with an Odyssey putter in their hand.

PING

PING is one of the brands that golfers are most loyal to because they’ve been around since 1959 and offer high-quality options for golfers of every level each time they release a new lineup. PING was a leading innovator in the golf industry for custom fitting and producing clubs for different styles of golf swings. Because of the range of customization and fitting options, PING has become a go-to golf brand for amateur golfers to help improve their game. PING engineers and manufacturers their clubs in Phoenix, Arizona.

Srixon

Srixon is best known for its golf balls, having over 500 golf ball patents, and longtime-produced Slazenger and Maxfli golf balls. The Huntington Beach, California-based and Japanese-founded company bought Cleveland Golf, so players who use Srixon drivers, woods, and irons also have Cleveland wedges in their bags. Although trusted for their golf balls, Srixon releases three different types of irons suited for all ranges of golfers; from blades to player irons to distance-improvement irons, Srixon’s ZX lineup gives golfers the customization to pick the set that gives them the most distance, accuracy, and control whether they are a low handicapper or high handicapper.

TaylorMade

TaylorMade is one of the game’s leading golf club manufacturers for drivers, fairway woods, irons, and balls. They are also known for their golf bags, comfort apparel, and for being the company that brought metal woods into the golf industry. TaylorMade was founded in 1979 and has its headquarters in Carlsbad, California. TaylorMade’s “Twist-Face Technology” has helped them become the most popular driver company among pros and the normal public course golfer. Their Spider putter and TP golf balls are seen used in every single PGA Tour event. Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, and Collin Morikawa are among the game’s best players who all trust TaylorMade products.

Titleist

There is a reason why Titleist is called the “#1 ball in golf” and that’s because their Pro V1 golf ball is the most played ball among Tour pros and amateur golfers alike. It has also picked up the most worldwide wins among professional and amateur golfers in the world over the last 20 years. One of the game’s oldest brands, Titleist was founded in 1932 and is headquartered in Fairhaven, Massachusetts. Titleist also produces some of the game’s most popular drivers and irons used by Justin Thomas, Webb Simpson, Adam Scott, and Jordan Spieth. In addition to making some of the most high-performing and high-end golf clubs and balls on the market, they are also partners with Scotty Cameron putters, recognized as one of the best putters available, Vokey Wedges, which provides players with an exceptional level of bounce and grind options, and Footjoy Footwear and Apparel, which offers golfers high-quality golf clothing, golf shoes, and glove selections.

Tour Edge

Tour Edge might fly under the radar but it is viewed as one of the best value brands on the market. Tour Edge is known for often releasing two different models at a time—one designed for players who need forgiveness and game improvement irons, and one designed for players who want a better feel with their shots. For being a lesser-known brand, Tour Edge clubs are often the most used club on the PGA Tour, proving their high-performing playability while still being a great value for amateur golfers. Focused on customer loyalty, the Chicago-based company offers a lifetime warranty on all clubs.

Wilson

Wilson, or Wilson Staff, has been making quality golf clubs at an affordable price since the 1930s. While Wilson has some great higher-end options, they are best known for their affordability and well-suited playability for the everyday golfer. Wilson also offers many complete sets which makes it a go-to brand for beginner golfers seeking flexible shafts, forgiving designs, and increased launch to keep their strokes at a minimum as they start. Players who become loyal and comfortable with the brand have options as they lower their handicap with Wilson’s Staff models which are designed for better-performing players. Wilson is trusted for their reliability and long-lasting performance.
