Völkl Kenja 88 Skis · 2021
A great alternative to the highly recommended Black Pearl's. Arguably more stable and damp in the crud, ice, and hardpack than its competition thanks to a Titanal frame and carbon tips. This is the perfect ski for an intermediate-expert skier that wants something that can charge down the groomers but can also have fun in the bumps, trees, and occasional powder day.
This is a narrower version of Völkl's most popular ski. This one has a wood core with a titanal metal frame that makes it crazy stable on ice and at speed. It has a decent amount of pop underfoot for super easy turn transitions, it is seriously a fun ski! This ski is built for all-day groomer and ice ripping. A solid light core and metal frame makes this ski stable and maneuverable.
A great frontside classic from the Volkl family. At 88mm underfoot, these are great for carving up the groomers and enjoying the trees, as well. A lively pop with slight camber and rockered tips/tails allows the ski to float through those great powder days! Great for frontside, groomers, bumps, and trees.
Blizzard Black Pearl 88 Skis
This is a GREAT resort ski that will serve you at Stratton when the conditions get firmer. This ski will have awesome edge hold on harder snow. However, the slightly wide waist will allow you to venture into fresh snow and more variable terrain as well when you take those trips to Colorado!
A classic for a reason! Really versatile all mountain ski that loves skiing groomers but is also capable in softer conditions.
Völkl Kendo 88 Flat Skis · 2021
Volkl constructs an amazing ski giving you the flexibility and power where you need it most without all the fluff. This ski has a blend of carbon, wood and tetanal to give you the dampness and stability of a full metal top sheet but the playful and pop of a wood core ski with the strength and durability of a carbon machine!
This is a great ski for all-mountain versatility. Very stable and precise on edge, but also provides quickness when you need it in moguls and tighter terrain. One of the most versatile, narrow, all-mountain skis available!
Salomon Stance 90 Skis
High performance skiing mostly on groomed trails. This ski has a metal laminated construction similar to the ever-popular Nordica Enforcer line, but with a strategic design that reduces the overall weight, making the ski more friendly for all-day riding and a little easier to maneuver. This ski has a ton of power in it, but in a package that is accessible to a solid intermediate and up.
It's a ski for the one who enjoys groomers, but also likes to adventure into the slop on the sides of each run. Since it has metal laminate, it holds a solid edge when needed, but its also a bit more forgiving than something like the atomic vantage 90ti.
Blizzard Brahma 88 Skis · 2020
This is an incredible ski! Very strong and extremely precise. One of the best (if not the best) options if you're looking for something around 90 underfoot. Rewards a strong skier that stays on top of it and drives it. A loved and top ski on the market year after year!
Great for skiing groomed runs, trees, and even some jumps! However these will shine the most when carving.
K2 Sight Skis
K2 Mindbender 90ti Skis · 2021
The Mindbenders have a Y-beam titanal construction and a rocker that allows for all kinds of terrain. It will be great for ripping down groomers, steeper terrain and it will even allow for some float in the deeper snow.
Blizzard Sheeva 9 Skis · 2022
An awesome all-mountain ski that can handle anything you can throw at it. Has a metal layer on the core making it a bit stiffer and more suited to more advanced riders, but combines that with a rocker profile that keeps the ski very playful and fun to ride.
Low angle and low speed turns are an absolute breeze but, still stable enough to let them run. At 92 underfoot and relatively large amount of rocker you have a awesome platform for those light snow days but still enough to get you through the thick stuff.
Liberty Skis Evolv 90 Skis
There is a lot to say about this ski. It is made in CO and is meant to be an approachable ski that makes turning easy and turning on the gas just as easy. Although these skis are approachable, they do have some great materials to make them an advanced ski. Made with bamboo, this ski is just as light as it is sustainable. Carbon stingers run through the center of the ski and integrated vertical metal struts help keep this ski stiff and dampening with not as many materials as skis in the past. The shape of this ski would be right at home in the hills of New England and be a very playful ski similar to the Atomics that you are currently on. A great daily driver that can carve very well.
Liberty makes really fun skis and these are an amazingly smooth carving ski! A little extra width for more stability in variable conditions. A great sidecut shape for easy and powerful turns! They use carbon fiber to add stability and stiffness to keep the power with less weight.
Atomic Vantage 90 TI M Grey/red Skis
The Atomic Vantage 90 Ti's are a great ski for skiing groomed terrain, and they have the nimbleness and float for tree skiing and powder skiing. A more advanced model than the other options in this list, the Vantages require a little more work to get them to do what you want to do, but once you get them under control hang on cause these things want to turn!
