The K2 Standard Snowboard is a great choice for those just getting started in the sport, or for intermediate riders looking to improve their skills on a forgiving, playful deck. It's made with a Catch-Free Rocker Baseline that moves the contact points off the snow for an intuitive and easy-going ride. Combines a soft flex and snappy Aspen wood core. Biaxially woven fiberglass hugs the aspen core and gives the board edge hold needed to handle higher speeds as you progress and explore new terrain. Directional twin, so you can play while moving in either direction as you fine tune your skills. It also uses Rocker Profile, featuring K2s Catch Free tune-that is flat in between the bindings and rockered just outside them as well. This results in easy release and initiation of each toe side or heel side turn. Easier turn release from the turns will equal faster progression. The package is rounded out with an Extruded 2000 base which is forgiving, durable and always ready for more fun.

The 2023 K2 Raygun Pop is a very well known intermediate board in the all mountain realm of snowboarding. It can jib, jump, stomp and slash, so in other words it is one of the most versatile decks on the market. It loves resort groomed runs just as much as park laps and coveted stashes of pow. A nice blend of camber and rocker, it gives reliability and stability without being too aggressive. Better yet, it wont break the bank! Intermediate and advanced riders unite!

An award winning all-mountain board comes at a killer price for the quality construction and versatility. Directional twin that has great control, a bit extra pop, yet with a nimble and playful feel suited to those in the beginner-intermediate range. A great board for progression at an even better price.

Summary: As the name suggests, this snowboard truly rides like a dream! It's suitable for both beginner and intermediate riders and will make your snowboard progress effortless! Seriously, if you're looking to progress on a board that's going to hold up in all sorts of conditions, this is a sweeeeet option!

Top Features:

  1. This board has a "rocker-flat-rocker" profile (profile is the shape of the board when lying flat). This specific profile is extremely forgiving and hard to catch an edge on, meaning it's great for pushing your limits without fear of randomly faceplanting!

  2. This snowboard is a "directional twin" meaning the stance is slightly setback and the nose is a little bigger than the tail. While you can easily ride in either direction, the slightly bigger nose means that this board will easily float through deeper snow/powder!

Why I personally love this snowboard: This is an "all-mountain" snowboard meaning it's meant to be ridden all over the whole resort. This makes it a good investment because you can ride it anywhere on any sort of terrain! Therefore, you won't have to worry about having the right type of board for the right situation and can head out to the mountain with confidence every day!

The K2 Dreamsicle is truely a dream board that turns the entire mountain into your own playground. Featuring a directional twin shape that rides smooth and easy, softer flexing coming in at 4/10, this option from K2 is blast to ride and will leave you lapping the mountain all day long. More designed for beginner to intermediate riders, this board is perfect for progression. Any advanced rider looking for a softer option, this is a great board for you!

A lightweight core with a forgiving flex and a "catch-free" rocker allows a rider to really get on edge without the stress of those frontside or backside whippers. Great board for a beginner but can be taken up a notch as the young rider progresses.

A good option for someone who wants to get farther out into those untouched territories. A softer flex board makes it easy to control in any circumstance combined with a slight rocker in the tip for extra float and camber under the feet for extra pop. Sintered base will make sure you're spending less time off the slopes repairing any damages to the board. The skins included with the board are 100% mohair and are also pre-trimmed to fit the board.

Expert Q&A
K2 was founded in Seattle, Washington and first began producing snowboards in 1987. While the company is still headquartered in Washington state, all K2 snowboards are now made in the Guangzhou Province of China.
The company that is now K2 did not originally set out to sell winter sports equipment. The business, located in Vashon Island, Washington, was known as Kirschner Manufacturing, and they got their start developing high quality animal cages. In 1961, the founder created a pair of fiberglass skis, and though sales started off slowly, by 1967, he was confident the brand could stand on its own. They separated the businesses and named this new company K2. The name held a double meaning - it represented the two Kirschner brothers, as well as paid homage to one of the world’s most formidable mountain peaks.
K2 uses incredibly rad tech exclusive to their brand. Space Glass, Spectral Braid, Carbon Darkweb, and Hybritech Construction, to name a few. Space Glass is an aerospace grade core insert used to reduce weight and increase durability. Spectral Braid is an angle reinforcement system designed for unmatched torsional flex. The Carbon Darkweb is an X-shaped carbon fiber layup under each foot that is going to speed up those edge-to-edge transitions. Hybritech removes excess sidewall material in the tip and tail to increase strength and decrease swing weight. Be on the lookout for these features and more in K2’s lineup!
