TaylorMade SIM2 Max Fairway
Great for out of the rough because of the "v" sole. It interacts with the turf really well! Easier to hit with all the tech packed into it. At 19 degrees, you'll get the kind of launch and distance you need from a 5 wood, and could probably replace a 3 wood with greater accuracy. The speed pocket and low center of gravity produces high launch with max forgiveness due to the twist face, which adjusts for mishits—basically, the MOI (moment of inertia) is increased so the face doesn't twist as much on heel or toe strikes.
This Fairway Wood features a titanium body that is 40% lighter than a steel wood, a carbon composite crown, and a face that is 20% stronger than the titanium used in a driver. This combination generates better speed off the face and saves enough weight for an 80-gram sole plate that lowers the center of gravity for improved spin and launch.
This fairway wood has a very low CG, which gives off great launch angles and low spin rates. It also has a wonderful weight distribution, to give the player maximum forgiveness while maintaining good launch. This club is very forgiving and gives great launch to the ball, giving the player a lot of distance with this wood.
TaylorMade SIM Max Fairway Wood
High launching, towering shots with great distance and forgiveness from its titanium face. The twist face allows for straighter shots, even on miss-hits.
This club is great for every shot type as the steel sole it offers is great off of the turf. This club also offers huge distance off of the tee.
Great club for every type of shot. The feel is amazing and hard to beat.
Callaway Epic Max Fairway
With the new Jailbreak AI Velocity blades introduced behind the face that spreads the angle of the blades, this stiffens the body and allows the face to flex more. Couple that with the AI-Designed Flash Face Cup, the new Epic Max gives you Epic ball speeds that is super easy to launch. With interchangeable 2 and 14g weights, you can adjust for more forgiveness or more ball speed.
Comes standard with the HZRDUS Smoke IM10 shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet Align grip.
Tee shots and long par 5s. Generates just enough spin to hold greens and work the ball either way. Very forgiving.
Players looking for easy to launch, easy to control fairway woods.
Callaway Mavrik Fairway Wood
The Mavrik fairway is Callaway's fastest fairway wood, built with a large and expansive hitting area. It features a single fixed weight in the sole to pull the center of gravity low and back in the head to produce a high launching and flat trajectory. Perfect fit for the 8-20 handicap looking for a midsize head shape and more total distance out of a fairway wood. It features the following technology unique to Callaway:
- Designed by Artificial Intelligence: Used a super computer to find the best modification for max club-head speed and forgiveness.
- Flash Face SS20: A.I. designed face that creates faster ball speed off a larger area of the club face.
- Jailbreak Technology: Two bars connecting the crown and the sole to also promote faster ball speeds.
- Progressive Leading Edge: A leading edge geometry designed for easy launch.
Having only 1 wood is very popular these days for 2 reasons. For one, it saves money. Then, most people cannot hit a 3 wood anyways. Therefore, the 4 wood option is the best for many because you will get maximum carry and overall distance.
This is an amazing club. Brand new 2020 model from Callaway. You will see some extra distance in your game if you add this to the bag.
Cobra King RadSpeed Fairway Wood
The rail system on the bottom allows for the club to slide through turf and not get caught up. The weight in the rear of the club gives you the same forgiveness as the driver, enabling that high-launching, low-spinning bullet down the middle of the fairway. Off-center hits will still have the ball speed to carry the distance you need and the forgiveness will keep you in the fairway.
The RadSpeed fairway woods build off the SpeedZone line from 2020 with more technology built in. This club has fixed internal weight near the face for great workability, ultimate distance and launch. An interchangeable near the back can increase forgiveness or enhance launch and lower spin.
TaylorMade M4 Fairway Wood
The TaylorMade M4 Fairway Wood is recommended for mid-level players and those seeking added forgiveness and dependable launch from hits all over the fairway wood face, especially low mishits. An expansive sweet spot coupled with geocoustic technology and internal split weights provides golfers great feel and sound along with enhanced forgiveness.
Great for reaching par 5 in two, or off the tee on a long par 3! TaylorMade incorporated their Twist Face technology in this 3 wood, so it's super forgiving!
Callaway Epic Speed Fairway Wood
The high strength C300 Maraging Steel provides outstanding distance and spin across the entire face. The forward center of gravity, and new leading edge promote a strong ball flight, and spin for a consistent shape and tight dispersion. Paired with the HZRDUS Smoke IM shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet Align grip.
The A.I. designed face provides consistency and forgiveness across the face, along with excellent ball speed. Extremely easy to launch from any place you find yourself on the course! Two interchangeable weights will allow you to adjust the launch angle and even the level of forgiveness you want in the club.
The Epic Speed 4w provides you with a higher point of entry into par 5s when you're going for the green in two, as well as tee shots on very short par 4s when you're looking for an eagle putt. Many professionals have opted for higher lofted wood options in their bag for these reasons.
TaylorMade SIM2 Max Draw Fairway
The V Steel™ material in this club along with the multi-material construction to get a low center of gravity (CG)... this club is waiting for you to launch it like a missile into the fairway. The weight has been redistributed again to reach ultra-low CG and max forgiveness, plus the turf interaction, to deliver a solid strike on the ball. The Fairway has the TaylorMade (TM) twist face technology to assist when you hit high on the toe or low on the heel, the head is slightly bigger with 190 CC (can provide more confidence at address), and the face is make from high strength C300 steel.
The SIM2 Max D also has a slightly higher ball flight than the SIM2 Max, and a slightly larger head (195cc vs 190cc). Standard shaft is the Fujikura AirSpeeder shaft for high launch, and Golf Pride Z grip.
Taylormade's mantra on this club is "we took the CG lower to take you higher" — so if you struggle getting height out of the fairway on your current woods, this would be a great option!
TaylorMade M6 Mens Fairway Wood
This fairway wood is a very lightweight, easy-swinging wood. This is a really versatile option for use off the tee, from the fairway, and even the rough. The ball gets up in the air and really jumps off the face with good speed.
This is the ultimate LONG AND STRAIGHT club. With its ultra thin face and sleek looks, the M6 is a weapon in the bag. The "twist face" also makes it super forgiving for slight mishits.
Pairs great with the M6 driver, this is a low spinning, mid launch 3 wood that will have you hitting it long and straight and from the fairway! Highly recommend!
Callaway Big Bertha B21 Fairway Wood
The Callaway Big Bertha B21 Fairway Wood is recommended for mid to high-handicap players seeking to get consistent launch from many lies on the fairway. It is also ideal for golfers who want to limit the effects of slice-spin sending golf balls off their intended target. Design elements work to promote fast ball speeds from impacts over a large portion of the clubface, ultimately delivering a forgiving and high launching fairway wood capable of generating deep distances.
One of the most forgiving fairway woods on the market. The B21 is packed with technology. Helps fight those misses to the right.
Long but still forgiving enough to allow for mis-hits to travel long distances.
