St. Croix Mojo Bass Casting Rod
The fact that this is a medium rod gives it enough sensitivity to feel subtle hits, yet provides enough power and flexibility for awesome hook sets, and better fighting ability. This medium rod pairs best with 1/4-5/8 oz lures and 10-17 lb monofilament line (17-30 lb. braid). The fast-action taper of this rod makes it possible for anglers to produce stunning lure presentations, increasing the number of hook-ups. The split-grip handle makes the rod lightweight and ergonomic, for all-day casting without getting tired out; While the 1-piece design makes the rod more reliable during rigorous casting.
Shimano SLX Casting Rod
Other than looking great with the SLX reel, this rod offers tournament level performance at a reasonable price. Features a titanium oxide guides for long lasting smoothness and high density EVA grips.
13 Fishing Omen Black 3 Casting Rod
Great Bass rod, super fast action, and a great value without compromising on quality! Great for throwing heavy rigs through thick cover, and still versatile enough for when you want to fish crankbaits or other lighter tackle. This rod has a strong backbone so when you're throwing those heavier baits, you wont feel like your fighting the bait. Additionally, this rod gives you the power you'll need for fighting the big ones!
A great overall rod for spinnerbaits, topwater, senkos, and jerkbaits. Can be used for several techniques and baits. Also great to be used on foot and from an boat with its shorter length. A sensitive rod to feel more baits and those light pickups.
Plenty of length for casting and the fast tip will be plenty sensitive for finesse baits.
Daiwa Harrier X Jigging Conventional Rod
The Daiwa Harrier X is a great jigging rod. This rod is made from a lightweight blank to prevent you from tiring out while jigging. Fuji Fazlite guides can handle the wear and tear of even the strongest braid. Overall this rod is a wonderful rod, especially for it's pricepoint, and will become one of your favorites very fast.
St. Croix Mojo Bass Glass Casting Rods
The best, and I mean BEST, bass rod out there for anyone who doesn't want to spend thousands of dollars. This rod will give you the sensitivity to feel every nibble, but also the power to set the hook hard into those big fish and not have to worry about the rod giving out. 100/10 would recommend. If I could recommend one piece of fishing gear above all else, it's a St Croix rod.
This rod paired with a good bait casting reel is the ideal set up for a high quality beginner setup, and the line guides on this rod provide superior castability. St Croix is backed with their legendary reputation, and is overall the best bang for your buck.
St. Croix Mojo Musky Casting Rods
Heavy, long rod that's meant to handle big bites, when it comes to trolling, that's usually what you're going for. When trolling, your rods take a on a lot of stress under the constant pressure so a heavier rod to take that stress is usually best, and this rod can take it. I think this is a great trolling rod for those walleye and at an affordable price for the strength this rod has.
St. Croix has become a standard in the freshwater fishing game. Known for their top of the line bass and big game rods, a St. Croix rod is one you cannot go wrong with. The Mojo musky rod is designed to maximize comfort and cast longer and more smoothly. With the heavy power of this rod, it can withstand even the heaviest of musky.
Dobyns Fury Series Casting Rods 7 feet - Heavy - Fast
If I could only ever recommend one rod, this would be it. The Dobyns Fury Series is the best bang for your buck that you'll find on the market in the middle tier of pricing, plain and simple. This rod feels like it should cost a lot more than it does and they're incredibly well balanced rods! Dobyns takes a lot of pride in the quality they put out and it really shows. Great general applications rod. It really will cover the gambit on what you'll want out of a medium heavy!
St. Croix Mojo Yak Casting Rods
While technically designed for kayak fishing, the length and power will be well suited for fishing heavier lures like whopper ploppers. This is a great rod for the price point and will absolutely hold up to heavier fish while still being sensitive with the carbon blanks St Croix uses for this rod.
Responsive and highly maneuverable when fishing from a kayak. Responsive enough to feel the smallest bite, but strong enough to fight your new PB. A great bang for your buck, with high end features. Great for saltwater and freshwater, this rod has it all.
Dobyns Fury Series Casting Rods 7 feet - Medium-Heavy - Moderate-Fast
Sensitive and works well with a variety of lures. It has the power for fishing soft plastics and the sensitivity to allow you to feel bites on jerkbaits and crankbaits
