Orvis SuperStrong™ Plus Leaders 2 Pack
This is good for larger nymphs, dries, and small streamers. Should be a stronger tippet section so can be perfect when the water flow is a little high or a little stained.
Rio Freshwater Leaders Powerflex Plus
Nylon leaders are the most versatile. You must have them for dry fly fishing, can use them still for nymphing if you add split shot weights.
This leader is great for connecting smaller tippet onto the end, and then your flies!
Strong and reliable with a good length and size for trout
Rio Freshwater Leaders Powerflex Trout Leader Selection
Great started pack for leaders. It has three different weight leaders in one pack - 3x, 4x, and 5x. This will cover bigger water as well as smaller water/flies and leader-shy fish. With tippet, this will last you several outings.
Rio Freshwater Leaders Powerflex Trout
A leader will connect to your fly line on one end and you will attach a short length of tippet to the other. This is a great leader to use in all freshwater, and especially trout.
Great for all around trout fishing from nymphs to dry flies. Affordable.
Trout or bluegill. Shallower streams and creeks and ponds.
Rio Freshwater Leader Fluoroflex Trout
This leader would be good for targeting Brook, Brown and rainbow trout. 5x is strong enough to handle a big trout but thin enough diameter to keep from spooking wary trout. With it being flourocarbon it has extra strength and low visibility
Solid tapered leader for trout fishing. It's easy to attach, which means more time on the water.
Rio Freshwater Leaders Suppleflex Trout
Scientific Anglers Absolute Trout Leader
A great do-it-all freshwater trout leader with great knot strength! It is also biodegradable to help reduce water waste! There are 3 leaders per pack. Solid all around option made by Scientific Anglers. Great for dries, nymphs, and small streamers!
All you need to get started fishing. A tapered leader with a butt section already tied into it. Pre-tied loop will allow you to connect directly to your fly line. Comes in a 3-pack.
Orvis Mirage™ Leader/Tippet Combo Pack
The leader attaches to your fly line with either loop-to-loop (suggested) or nail knot. This provides a strong flexible link between the fly line and the fly. Then you will tie the tippet onto the leader with a surgeon's knot, this tricks the fish so they can't see the leader or line. You typically will match the size of the tapered leader to the tippet, or one size smaller. When you try to attach too small of tippet to a larger leader, the knot doesn't hold as well and you will lose fish.
Great for fish that tend to get spooked easily like those in alpine lake settings since the Fluorocarbon is more transparent yet doesn't compromise durability. The Mirage line is exceptional when presentation matters! A spool of 30m tippet will last you awhile and helps to reduce the need to cut your leader back every time you want to adjust flies.
Tactical fishing in clear or low water situations. The Mirage Florocarbon tippet and leader is essentially invisible when it's on the water which will give you an edge on presentation of your flies. It's also abrasion resistant so when you hook into that fish it's not going to break off if they brush up against rocks trying to get off the hook.
Rio Freshwater Leaders Big Nasty
Short & stout construction makes throwing large patterns a walk in the park. Excellent choice for multitude of purposes from bass to salmon fishing!
