The Burton Cartel EST is a medium-stiff flex binding that is designed to maximize stability, control, and connection to the board. These bindings are the perfect tool to stay in command during all of the rider’s biggest lines.

To be honest, this model is simple, just like all Burton bindings. There aren't a million adjustments that eventually fail. Everything is straightforward. The straps are easily adjusted; just pull them back and insert them, and nothing breaks. It's simple and basic. The composite straps don't use leather, so they don't absorb water or come apart. The binding itself is a super lightweight comfortable binding that has a perfect amount of flex for all around riding. They do great in the park but they are also good for just riding down your average groomer as well. Overall I would recommend this binding for anyone that is a casual rider.

Tyler made great recommendations and really took the time to understand where my skill level is at and where I intend to ski. Ultimately, I was uncomfortable making the investment without trying the skis first, so I ended up buying a pair that I had rented several times and really liked. I had so many questions and came very close to purchasing skis a few months ago but now I that I have nearly finished this season I have a better idea of what I was looking for!
