I had the opportunity to sample these fine bindings in a few different conditions, while they were mounted on Black Diamond Helio Carbon 95s. Overall, my impressions were really positive, considering I had expected to struggle with thinner skis than I'm accustomed to. Downhill ski performance gave me all the stability and power transfer needed to carve mash... Read more

The Fritschi Tecton 13 is an excellent option for skiers looking for something that will get them into the backcountry but still have a consistent ejection in the event of a crash. For those of you who have skied in traditional pin bindings, you know that under hard turns or in choppy terrain, you can experience faulty ejections. This commonality... Read more

Good combo of safety and performance, but at a price
Originally posted at www.blackdiamondequipment.com on Aug 5, 2024I've been skiing on these bindings for three or four seasons now and I really like them. I went this direction to get the additional safety of a well-designed release system. It definitely allows me to come out of my bindings when needed, but be clamped in securely the rest of the time. Great for touring and outstanding for the down. There is some snow buildup that happens in the heel piece while touring that I sometimes need to bang out by turning the ski upside down and running the heel lever through its range of movement. I still find getting into the toe a bit finicky. The technique that's worked best for me is to 'roll' the toe of my boot in one pin at a time rather than trying to step into both pins at the same time. These are pricey bindings, but the extra confidence of the release capability and the build quality make them worth the investment in my opinion.

Mark was amazing!
5 /5
I can't say enough good things about Mark! As a complete beginner to snowboarding, I was feeling overwhelmed by all the gear choices, but he made the process so much easier. Mark took the time to understand my skill level, budget, and needs, recommending the perfect board, boots, and bindings without pushing unnecessary upgrades.
Not only was he knowledgeable, but also super patient and friendly, answering all my newbie questions and giving me great tips to start off right. Thanks to Mark, I feel confident and excited to hit the slopes! If you're new to snowboarding and need expert advice, I highly recommend him!

Friendly, kind and so helpful. Found my first new board fit for a beginner. Seperate from Brandon’s great service, we will see how the board works out for me when I receive it! Not necessarily any reflection on service or the company. Just depends on the board and it works out for me. Looking forward to getting out and giving it a go!

New to the world of snowboarding, and had no idea where to begin. Spencer was as solid as they come. He was patient, checked in as I navigated the last couple months determining if this was right for me. At the end of the day, I am super excited for my gear and get out there to learn this sport and explore New England more than I already do! Spencer is the bomb.

Ian is Awesome!
5 /5
I pretty much started&ended my day browsing at Curated website and exchanging messages with Ian. I had a different choice in mind since the size i was looking for a specific snowboard is now longer available. Ive been snowboarding for about 15years now and I'm pretty picky with my gear. i was just gonna get bindings here and ended up getting both the bindings and snowboard! -Jay Y.

Sarah is super helpful and knowledgeable!
5 /5
Sarah was so great to work with :). She knew what to recommend right away once I told her about my experience, current setup, and what I’m looking for. She’s very responsive, accommodating and nice. Even better that she recommended items that were both good in quality and perfect for what I need, but also the best prices around. She sure felt like just an advisor who is happy to help - not sales-sy at all. I’m not surprised she is a top rated curator - it is well deserved! I won’t hesitate to consult with her again on my next setup. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to work with her :)

Dave provided expertise and answered all of my questions even though I told him I might not be making an immediate purchase. He had helpful tips about gear and riding in my area specifically. So thrilled I was able to chat with him and grab some gear before Curated says goodbye. He'll be an asset wherever he goes next:)
