Top notch touring boot!
Originally posted at www.dynafit.com on Mar 21, 2024These boots are about the closest I've found to perfection. I have short, wide 27.5 mondo feet. Despite their 103.5mm last I still had to give these things a mild punch on my bunion, but that's where the complaints end. They ski like a true 125 flex (maybe just a smidgen softer than my 130 hawx primes), and are significantly lighter with a far superior walk mode. I can confidently drive my car around a crowded lot with these things unstrapped. Also worlds easier and less painful to get into and out of if you have a high instep. The Hoji switch is the real deal for quick touring/skiing transitions. I love how the ankle ratchet strap really locks your heel into place. This is primarily a touring boot, not an inbounds Alpine boot, but it's still capable of driving my 188cm/110mm j skis in heavy PNW "powder". In form resort conditions their light weight definitely gets a little skittish, but that's not really their purpose anyway. Overall, the best, most well thought out touring boot for wide feet I've ever stepped into.
