The Black Diamond Impulse 104 Skis are the perfect all-mountain ski for those who want to carve smooth arcs on the hill and float through pow on the other side of the rope. With a 104-mm waist, these skis provide nimble turnability when needed, and playful, floaty performance in deep powder. The flat, solid-core construction and full ABS sidewalls add torsional stiffness and provide premium power transmission, dampness and stability to hold fast while charging on harder snow. These Austrian-made skis feature pre-preg fiberglass and an engineered poplar core that make them a freerider’s one-ski quiver built to rip.

If you really want to dive into the differences between the materials, and engineering behind snowboards Jay is the guy to get into these conversations with.
