Very Light and Practical
Originally posted at www.blackdiamondequipment.com on Feb 20, 2024These are all aluminum and are lighter than the half aluminum-half carbon BD poles. Extremely light. 3 oz heavier than the one piece carbon poles. Love the handle fit and the flick lock. I have only skied lift service but been in the glades and so far so good. A few tours may give me a better idea of how durable these will be but for now, I love them. Bought them because I bent my Traverses and bottom shafts are out of stock. They have lots of Traverses but no bottom sections. Hmmm. But bought these because BD gave me a discount because of lower shaft out of stock so I upgraded from Traverse.

Great light poles

Love the flick lock for easy adjustment, the light weight, the handles you can grag in a couple spots, and the rathe round top to the pole that is a comfortable fit when you palm the top to push going up slight inclines at s resort or rolling tour. These are an upgrade to my Traverses, which are also great but heavier. I ain’t getting younger. Only time will tell if they are more durable. I bought them because I bent another bottom of my Traverses (4th bottom over 12 years) as BD doesn’t carry the lower shaft for the Traverse anymore, even though they list them. Have plenty of Traverses but no Traverse bottom sections only. Go figure..
