The future of comfort in ski boots is here, and its name is BOA. Sure, it definitely looks funky: using a steel cable to tighten my boots versus the buckles I have been using my whole life, but there's no denying the massive leeway I have when it comes to tightening my boots with the BOA laces. The micro adjustments allow me to make the shell just as snug as I want, while eliminating pressure points altogether. It's pretty impressive. Paired with the Recon's stout 130 flex and a high-performance fit, the Recon is for advanced and expert skiers wanting a boot they can drive hard, and drive serious skis with. It's also seriously customizable, thanks to a moldable shell and liner, so I can get my perfect fit. The 130 flex will prove too much for more novice skiers, or much lighter skiers, so best to look for a softer flex rating there. But experienced and aggressive skiers will love the combo of a high performance boot with the BOA system.

Tyler made great recommendations and really took the time to understand where my skill level is at and where I intend to ski.
