Why I recommend these
Expert verdict
The Atomic Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA GW Ski Boots are a game-changer for freeride enthusiasts. They offer a perfect blend of uphill agility and downhill power, thanks to their hard-flexing design and medium-volume fit. The BOA Fit System is a standout feature, providing a snug, customizable fit that feels like a second skin. I love the 54° range of motion for effortless walking, and the Memory Fit liner molds to your foot for ultimate comfort. While they might be a bit stiff for beginners, experienced skiers will appreciate the robust performance and versatility these boots offer. They're a solid choice for those who love exploring both inbounds and out-of-bounds terrain.

Is this boot recommended for you?

Freeride skiers looking to explore inbounds and out-of-bounds will find the Atomic Hawx Prime XTD 120 BOA GW does it all. This hard-flexing touring boot with a medium-volume 100mm last was built for uphill walkability and downhill performance. Built slim with next-gen Prolite construction, the shell maintains structural reinforcement in key areas for powerful skiing performance. Micro-adjustable BOA® Fit System uniformly wraps the lower foot for a precise fit. The cuff moves effortlessly when walking, thanks to 54° range of motion. Memory Fit paired with a heat-moldable Mimic Platinum liner allows for a custom fit, while Power Ankle Lock (PAL) in the liner contours the ankle for long-lasting heel hold. Move the Adaptive Fit System (AFS) Tongue to perfect the fit over your foot and shin. A robust Free/Lock 4.5 walk-ski mode securely locks the cuff to the shell and has adjustable forward lean. A GripWalk Sole makes for compatibility with MN, MNC and pin bindings.
