The Salomon S/lab Shift MNC Ski Bindings are at the cutting edge of ski touring. These allow intermediate and advanced backcountry or hybrid skiers to get the feel and performance of an inbounds binding with the ease of touring of a pin binding.
Key Features:
- Dual Mode Toe Piece – The Toe piece (compatible with most boot soles) shifts from a standard downhill toe into a standard pin tech toe for uphill traveling.
- Lateral Elasticity – The perk of a standard toe is that you get a lot of lateral elasticity (47mm here). This provides great power transfer.
- Alpine Heel – With the flip of a switch, this binding also has a traditional alpine heel piece for strong downhill performance.
- 6–13 Release Values – This binding caters best to intermediate and advanced skiers due to its higher release range.

Tyler made great recommendations and really took the time to understand where my skill level is at and where I intend to ski.
