The Pivot 14 is such a unique binding that is great for beginners all the way up to seasoned pros! They can look as flashy as you want them too, as they come in an array of color ways. They feel so solid to step into. They truly do allow the skis to feel a natural as possible with the small footprint and tight mounting pattern they really do not have any negative effects on the flex of your ski like some other bindings out there do.
My favorite feature it the fact that the heel piece pivots when you twist release, meaning it allows your ski to rotate freely from your leg, hopefully helping to mitigate knee injuries compared to a traditional binding!
This binding is on my personal set up this year and I seem to get compliments on the colors every time I ski them, plus they handle so well unlike some of the big and clunky bindings that are out there.
With some grip walk boots the rubber heel pad can be a bit wider than the arms on the heel piece so thats certainly something to look out for, it can make them tough to step into.
