The Orvis Mirage LT is an excellent high end reel from Orvis that is made to be a lighter version of the original Orvis Mirage. This reel pairs well with lighter freshwater setups and I've found this reel very enjoyable for backpacking excursions where every ounce of weight counts. Its capable of targeting both large and small fish because even though it is lighter, it still has a version of the original Mirage ceramic and stainless steel sealed drag system. Being a large arbor reel, its capable of holding plenty of line both for smooth casting and fighting large fish. Overall, this is the reel to get for upgrading a decent fly fishing outfit to a top of the line outfit.

Rylyn found a sale for the Douglas Sky G rod and recommended it. He said that this was the best rod in the market and so I bought it. We paired it with monic Trout Master fly line. I was not disappointed at all! The rod feels intuitive and natural to cast. I could cast more accurately and a longer distance than I ever did with my previous rod.
