The Orvis Recon is my personal holy grail of rods. In hand, the rod is light and comfortable, pairing well with a light reel to create an outfit that can be brought anywhere. It casts accurately and smoothly making tricky fly presentations easy. When the cast is awarded with a bite, it has good backbone for fighting the fish that it hooks in to.
