Serving as a barrier between your cable and frame. Minor frame protection. If you have cable rub on the frame anywhere, you want to get one of these pasted on the frame to keep the cable from touching the frame directly. This will not only keep your frame from looking a little worn, but depending on the cable contact level, can prevent a weak spot developing.
